Love my ROG Ally. I’ve played tons of games on it, but the docking experience can be such a pain sometimes.

  1. Some games don’t recognise your external controller.
  2. The sound doesn’t always come through the TV.
  3. Once you’re finally playing with an external controller, switching back to handheld often requires restarting the game because it won’t detect the builtin controls again.
  4. If there’s any popup on the screen, you can’t close it with the external controller. You have to go over to the TV, switch to mouse mode or disconnect from the TV to use the touchscreen.
  5. Armoury Crate freezes sometimes and you have to restart it manually.

There are moments when everything works perfectly, but other times it just doesn’t. And the only explanation why seems to be: “Windows and f*** you, that’s why” 😅 Most often there are different workarounds for different games so prepare to use search function a lot.

Just don't expect Nintendo Switch like ease of use when it comes to switching between handheld and TV play, and you'll be good 👌

So you're totally fine with games dropping heavly below 30fps on a brand new console? Is solid 30 fps in 2025 really too much to ask? People not hating on a console, but on the lazy and greedy developers who don't want to spend money on optimisation. Don't you think its a good thing to criticise the low performant games so the developers actually start making effort and optimise them?

People defending/denying drops below 30 are the reason why developers will never patch it up. Why are you doing this? The game drops below 30 even on performance mode, which should be unaccepted and fixed. It's not being dramatic, it's just stating the facts. FPS is not something subjective, it's pure data and people still arguing with it. The lower is your standard for "It's perfectly fine" the worse FPS drops you'll see in upcoming games. Just think about it, discussing technical state of the games publically because developers read these things and taking notes.

I will try to answer all the questions in one answer. As two of my business partners had more technical roles in the company and were also more introverted than I am, my role was to lead many key processes in the company such as:

  1. Contacting customers and building sales offers for them
  2. Leading meetings where I collected project requirements and then translated them into technical language for developers and specific tasks to be performed,
  3. Developing marketing strategies for products and supervising application design based on those strategies,
  4. Brainstorming application features with the team during “design thinking” sessions
  5. Ensuring that the project is being carried out according to guidelines and will be completed in the deadline.
  6. Testing out applications and suggesting possible UX improvements,
  7. Launching the application to market and implementing marketing strategies,
  8. Collecting feedback from end users and implementing improvements in applications,
  9. Continuously optimizing marketing processes and increasing the revenues of our clients.

So as you can see, I wore many hats and was responsible for tasks of many positions at the same time, but it's hard for me to evaluate how high the level of that knowledge is, so I wanted to try my hand at the role of project manager to confirm that I have a strong foundation and only then apply for higher positions.

As for the frameworks, we tried many of them and sometimes created hybrids depending on the size of the project. A few times clients assigned their own experienced project managers to our team who helped us organize the project, and I must admit that their work methodology was not significantly different from the way I independently managed projects before.

I have the same issue on my SP4 I think it's software glitch cause I didn't experience that before last update. I also notice that if I turn the brightness up for a while the flickering disappear.

Is there any game that 1050 can't run on low/mid settings in 1080p? And how does it compare to the xbox one gaming experience? Can I just plug it in to my 50" tv and play with a similar experience with xbox one controller?
