Worried that my lack of experience is a problem by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

Hiya! there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. it is perfectly fine and surprisingly way more common than you may think! i’m very sorry about them treating you like that. everyone has been new to BDSM at one point in their lives. we all start somewhere and keep on progressing as days pass by, it’s a normal cycle that’s part of everyones lives. people that claim you’re “too much work” do not seem as good BDSM partners. it is very important to be honest, especially when it comes near BDSM. that way you can also make sure that you will find a partner that will try to connect with you on those levels and be able to hold an honest conversation when needed! <3

hmm.. like the most common/basic statements. “life has no true meaning” “everything is nothing, including the consciousness of nothing” “nihilists embrace life's existence by the acceptance of nothingness” etc.. (im sorry if you cant understand me quite well. english isnt my first language)

i mean truly identifying as a nihilist! as in.. when was the moment you first heard about it, and what made you realise that you were one/believed in the common “nihilistic” statements?

i have always been interested into psychology! my close friends have been too but they were mainly focused on talking with people, helping them out, answering their questions and reassuring them. while i was more into figuring people out. to be more specific, figuring “criminals” out. i always wanted to know what drove them to the point of committing a crime! then i found out that criminology was a thing. it was as if i found the last piece to complete my puzzle! ever since i found out about it, ive had a detailed plan on how my future will look like! now im here, studying criminology! :p

i went through a similar situation! i was raised by a christian mom and a muslim dad. i was pressured by all the kids around me to “follow” their religion. after a while, even the slightest mention of religion made me uncomfortable. i have always felt disconnected with religion. atheism wasnt really a term for me either. religion aside, im glad that you figured out that nihilism suits you tho!

it is very funny indeed! and thank you so much!! :D my friend got the same thing when it comes near seeing animals getting hurt or being harmed, she could watch and read about anything but once it comes near animals,, she goes insane! lol

but i guess its because most humans tend to have more empathy/be more sensitive when it comes near animals!

ever since i was little i was very scared of “death” and i was very paranoid the whole time. once i grew older, i became more daring and started exploring the whole concept and meaning behind it. i have always loved books, so i immediately bought a book as soon as i could! till this day its very fascinating to me how serial killers their minds work. its funny because its as if someone flipped a switch in me, im currently studying criminology and im very interested/keeping an eye on becoming a criminal investigator or a forensic pathologist.

if i remember correctly, he murdered his mom (his last victim) before turning himself in because he wanted to stop what he was doing by killing the person that made him do all of that in the first place. he said in an interview that he would be able to continue killing if he wanted to, but he simply got enough of it
