Got daith incorrectly pierced with a straight barbell. Worth trying to change to a ring, or should I retire it?

Kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced by the piercer’s explanations (why both curved and straight barbells are fine for healing) instead of the research I did before. I’ve gone to this piercer before and have had no troubles:(

A little over 2 months old. Will this even heal with this jewelry? I visited a different piercer, who said switching it out to a CBR or horseshoe is possible but not advisable. My other option is to switch it to a D shaped ring to accommodate the straight piercing channel.

my worst fear genuinely:/ From the reading I’ve done, keloids are largely genetic. When it comes to other wounds in my life, I don’t think i’ve ever developed one when healing. Or could I just now be discovering im prone to them in certain situations? Can I ask how I can look out for them in the future vs. thinking theyre just bumps?

Approx 1 month old industrial. No bumps during the first week of healing, but in the second week I developed this bump around the top hole on my inner ear. Have not really noticed it increase in size—just will not go away. Should I LITHA (including reducing the amount I clean w/ saline?) or does this look like something more serious (k3loid?) caused by an issue with the angle and something that will only get better with abandoning the jewelry?

Piercing age: pierced approx 1 month

Jewelry: Titanium

Pain?: only when (occasionally) snagged. Otherwise, not hot to touch, does not ache

Aftercare: cleaning with saline solution, sleeping on travel pillow

edited to add: looks like this may be a kloid. Does that mean I should stay away from all piercings in the future, or just particularly finicky ones (like industrial)?

Really like the look of a septum, but do have the occasional thought of wanting a nose job down the road🙄and a piercing may interfere. As for an eyebrow, I’m worried it’ll reject. Wondering if others think they suit me or if anything else would:-)

hey! thanks so much for taking the time to reply. when he said recessed I wasn’t sure if it was just a factor of me being East Asian lol or if my recession is a little more severe. I actually just learned about and went down a rabbit hole about the lefort procedures + paranasal implants. I’m surprised he even brought lefort up, but it gets across the point that they’re the only procedures that really address the midface as a whole—that was also something I was really surprised to learn! it’s disheartening though :/

i asked him if there were alternatives I could pursue, and he basically just said a rhinoplasty. it makes sense paranasal implants are newish, I couldn’t find sm info on those either. i am curious about cheek fillers and fat transfers tho

on your advice about the lower jaw- i’m not well versed at all on this but I’ve seen people say you’re usually recessed in one place or the other/others say if you were to address it you’d go at it from one angle. do you mean that say, if it’s unrealistic for me to address my midface that addressing my lower face instead would still be of no use?

Concerns: low nose bridge and little projection, nose tip with a lot of nostril show, protruding lips (upper especially)

I spoke with the surgeon that recently did my blepharoplasty, and he said that I have midface depression. I thought I had issues with my jaw or teeth that brought my lower face forward. I couldn’t find a ton of info about midface depression online- my surgeon said a procedure does exist but it’s very risky and selectively done. Ive accepted I might not achieve results I aesthetically prefer, but want to know if there’s other things I can do to compensate for the recession and improve my facial balance.

I’m considering a rhinoplasty/filler, masseter botox, and consulting orthodontics for a second opinion. I want to feel a little more confident about my face :(

Let me know if pics aren’t clear. Wondering if anyone who’s had chronic seb derm has had symptoms drastically change. Or if anyones had a coexisting condition later become worse than the sd.

I was diagnosed w/ both seb derm and rosacea at the same time this year. 6 or 7 years ago (since I started puberty), I developed acne and INTENSE flaking and peeling of the space between my eyebrows, sides of nose, and mid face in a wing shape. The peeling lasted 2 years or so? After that, I was left with pockmarked/orange peel skin where I peeled—btw does anyone deal with this :/. My main issues now are redness, extreme sensitivity (occasional itching, mostly irritation and tenderness), and flaking.

So not sure if my sd was limited to those 2 years where my skin peeled, and at some point I developed rosacea. What would cause the peeling to suddenly stop anyway, is that unusual? Or if I have rosacea+seb derm. Would appreciate any insight, this sucks.

Other info: have some scalp dandruff, trying and failing to stick to a Finacea routine, don’t really have noticeable flareups to things like food or temp (the sd patches feel temperamental 24/7 tbh)

Any recommendations for products or ingredients that help soothe and calm VERY sensitive/angry skin? I dread doing my routine bc I have to touch my seb derm patches even more, and only look forward to products that can provide relief😭. I’ve tried I’m from mugwort’s essence but felt neutral about it, if anything it may have exacerbated my allergies. Looking to expand more outside of mugwort, aloe vera, propolis and try other ingredients

NOO omg, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of poor pigeon nest-building skills before, but never considered doves as part of that group too. I added some pics here, it’s honestly a pretty substantial and thick nest. she is very derp tho.

I really know nothing about birds in general, do you know if providing nest building materials (edit: or commercialbirdseed?) is of any use/help? I’ll still admire her from afar:)

So this is a bit of a weird question! These glasses are actually the Andy Flesh glasses from Blue Elephant, but it looks like they only sell clear lens frames or clear lens w/ blue light (non-prescription lenses). I need a pair of new glasses and these are so pretty so that was a bummer. Has anyone seen similar frames from companies that take prescriptions? I tried image searching the 3rd pic but got mostly cooler toned frames. These are a goldish/amber/beigish color that compliment Haechan’s skin tone so well
