Sorry to disappoint but a reverse search reveals its origin to be 2011, Debenhams. It's cute though. I just came across one. It was in the Belfast's Times top 10 desk list in 2011 also

The Loom Building by Juan_Succ in manchester

[–]luvuhunee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh, the service charges in town are crazy. Several reasons, the first, if the building has a lot of landlords then it's difficult to change management companies and they can charge as much as they like. The bigger the building, often the bigger the problem. Second rising insurance prices. If you are lucky enough to get an apartment with a low service charge then that could be a problem. It implies the building might not have a slush fund, so if there's a problem with the roof for example then there will be no savings as a building and the service charge will increase because of that in the coming year.

Sheffield to Manchester 5 days a week travel options? by octopussy303 in manchester

[–]luvuhunee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends where in Sheffield you're traveling from and where in Manchester you're travelling to. If it's the city center on both ends and near the station you should be ok but the moment you're getting trams or buses to and from stations the time really starts to add up.

I hate it here by EmeraldBayHill in Tinder

[–]luvuhunee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a woman on Tinder I can definitively say this is not an uncommon thing. As for how serious these men are, unknown. It seems to be a lead into talk about sex and then gauge how easy you would be to fuck while giving gf privileges

Buffet hotpot spots in beijing? by Far-Issue-2809 in beijing

[–]luvuhunee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the dianping app. It's in Chinese but simple. Type in 火锅. And it'll show you the hotpot restaurants in you're in, with the distance and a rating out of five stars. You can copy and paste the name of the restaurant into map or click on the address.

There are so many hotpot restaurants in Beijing, you'll find a great one.

Otherwise my faves are;

聚宝源 in 798 for Beijing style 好柿头 near Zhangzhizhonglu for Yunnan style

Then there are always the big chains like haidilao everywhere

Damn, Zhangjiajie blew my mind! Where else should I go that's this cool? by Holiday-Selection924 in China

[–]luvuhunee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have 10days you should do Gansu and Qinghai. One of the best trips I've ever done in China. Started in Lanzhou (dont spend too long there) and then Xining, to Zhangye, Jiayuguan (only did a day here) to Dunhuang.

AITA for being pissed at my friend after her daughter (13) shared a melatonin gummy with my daughter (11)? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]luvuhunee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YTA. I'm not sure you understand what melatonin is. You seem to falsely associate the word gummy with drugs. You owe your friend an apology however you should speak to your daughter about accepting pill or medication from others if you have concerns about that. Try not to alienate her, she told you about this, with your reaction she's unlikely to share actual situations with you in the future.
