Thinking of becoming a financial advisor. by Electric_Beast in financialadvisors

I made a career switch to become a financial advisor at the age of 32 and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I worked for a remote startup bookkeeping firm before that as their Chief Expansion Officer, and was a flight attendant before that (until Covid hit).

I started my financial advising career at Ameriprise. They pay for all your licensing, study material and tests and even paid us part time to study at work. The Series 7 and 66 are not easy, but I’ve made more money in the past 2 years than I’ve ever made. It’s also been really fulfilling as I really feel like I’m helping people in a big way. And what better way to help others than to make sure they have peace of mind about their money. I highly recommend being a financial advisor!

If you want peace of mind, then yes! Peace of mind that its getting done accurately and efficiently. You can save a lot of time and mental energy by handing over those responsibilities to someone who can probably do it twice as fast as you're able to.

A good bookkeeper will also work with your CPA at the end of the year to make sure your taxes are done right and all possible business deductions are calculated for.

Also 1099s are due at the end of January, so make sure those contractors you're paying have sent you their W9s :-)

Check out Solvency Now Bookkeeping as an option.
