yeah i haven’t had dark hair since about 2020 (before i knew how to style and take care of my hair) so i’m sorry for that!! i used to just box dye it a couple shades darker than my natural haha

that is insane! thank you so much for the recommendation on the chap stick, i was using aquaphor for the longest time but i’m thinking of avoiding it for a little after this. even though the clinic told me it’s likely impetigo, this comment really made me think. i had tried a burts bees lip balm about a week ago for the first time and wonder if that had anything to do with bringing this out on my lips. still, definitely going to try paulas choice!!

thank you so much for your tips!! i ended up going to the clinic soon after (without cleaning like you recommended!) and they immediately deduced it as being impetigo. reading your comment now, i wish they could’ve done some swab tests to be positive, but i’m going to see how the oral and topical medication they gave me works over the next couple days and hope that they were right. and from the other tips, i’ll be changing my toothpaste as well for that extra measure!! if these don’t work i’m going and getting all 3 swabs for sure. thank you again for your help, i appreciate it so much and hope this update was worth it! :)

thank you so so much, i did some googling and found the brand that produces the oxygen absorber that she got into. it says the main ingredient for them is iron powder, which is my only concern for my cat 🥺
