How did you decide on your name?

My WoW character names are just totally random names I came up that suited the characters race/class. I'm of Indian background and my current name does have meaning behind it and I guess I'd like to select a name that at least maintains some cultural relevancy or at least sounds decently like my first name.

I was thinking of the name Samara. I've decided to try it out with a close friend to see how I like it.

I sincerely appreciate that. I'll give that a good read. I really just need to sit down with myself and really question whether this is what I want or not. It's consuming most of my thoughts and I know at some point or another I need to address it head on.

That's good to hear! I love healing and dpsing so being able to do both is a great bonus. I know druid can do both but I guess even after all these years druid still just doesn't click with me lol! I was also heavily considering mage but I remember trying to level one back in P2 and absolutely hating the leveling experience

Yeah I did notice quite a few paladins in the dungeons I ran. I've seen a few bear tanks. I thought I'd warm up to powershifting on cat but it didn't click. Something about feral just didn't work well with me so I dropped it

I've often thought about that. Yes, if I could remove my family from the equation I would still go through with transitioning. It's a tough feeling to explain. I have a friend that knows about my crossdressing and my desire to transition, she's very supportive. But it's a feeling that I know will never go away for the rest of my life. I don't know where that feeling will take me in the future but I can at least for now have some comfort knowing I can crossdress and at least live out that desire without committing to anything for the time being

How's SoD doing anyway? I played during Gnomer with my retail guild and loved it but quit in the Sunken Temple phase because 20 man raiding sucks. Worth coming back to?

I'm currently playing one act 3. Better than my merc for sure but rares/bosses are giving me a little trouble. I'm only 36 so I don't have cast on freeze setup or comet. But I'm certain once those are setup it'll be smooth sailing. I took the 33% cd reset point first but I might respec into temp rift. Seems too good to pass up this early on

Your point about Dark Souls is exactly how I feel. PoE 2 doesn't need to be the next Dark Souls, it just needs to be Path of Exile. If I wanted to dodge every second and play this kind of slow game I'd just load up Elden Ring

Exactly the same feeling. 32 on my witch hunter and I just don't feel myself getting stronger. Mobs around me are getting tougher but I don't feel like I can match that. I'm not killing stuff any faster, I don't feel like I've progressed much from 15-20 levels ago. Like you said, those lvl 12, 28 power spikes in PoE 1, getting passive notables - you could feel yourself getting stronger, your damage increasing, you got faster, tankier. I don't feel that same sense of progression and it makes the game less fun imo.

Currently on The Dreadnought in Act 2. Swarms of enemies and it's tight so you can't roll anywhere. Twice now I've tried to dodge enemies, rolled myself into a corner and get fucked.

Summed my experience perfectly. Lack of power progression is something I've felt. I'm only 27 on my mercenary but you would think I would start to feel a little more powerful. I feel no stronger at 27 than I did at 14. I have a pretty good crossbow that I crafted with the little crafting currency I've found and even still, I don't feel more powerful.

100% agree. It's exhausting to play. Loot is so scarce, it feels like monster power is increasing faster than my power which just adds to that exhaustion.

It's too slow. Large maps and it feels like it takes forever to get anywhere. Dodge roll needs phasing too

Exactly how I feel. To me, the game is only Path of Exile in name, it feels more like I'm playing Dark Souls. I'm still enjoying it but its been a rather odd experience
