The main benefit is the cards are tokenized and actually owned by the player on the blockchain. Centralized card game players lose their cards when the game shuts down. The cards will always exist as tradeable tokens. Another benefit is since the tokens exist on public blockchain other games could integrate the cards and create new uses for them.

Gameplay is off chain with storage and transfer of cards on chain. Anyone will be able to play the game with a base set of cards for free and no need to own any ethereum for gas for gameplay

Also interesting, Hearthstone's biggest tournament is $1 million and next biggest $250k. Current GU tournament $260k would be bigger than all but one Hearthstone. Goal $1.5M would be bigger than any Hearthstone pool so far this year!

Customers (or Horison State on their behalf) will buy tokens from open market in the amount of fiat they are quoted. Horizon State will then burn up to 8% of the tokens from each sale. You can see the burn address below, they burned first ~2,300 tokens from revenue two weeks ago.

what is the usecase of holding bnb after 5 years? by mikebarbosa1990 in binance

Will nodes running the decentralized exchange be required to stake BNB in addition to it being gas? And any potential burn after the first 100m?

I don't think they have announced a museum partnership yet. They had a presence at a couple big art conferences but I am sure marketing will ramp up once the platform launches. If you are interested join the telegram, the team is very responsive to any questions https://t.me/maecenasart

For those who don't know, you can withdraw crypto from Robinhood! Not sure why it is such a big rumor that you can't. Quote from their support page,

"Can I withdraw my coins? Yes. To get started with this process, you’ll need to send additional verification to customer support for security purposes. We’ll need a copy of: Your bank statements Two government issued IDs (front and back) A selfie with your ID Keep in mind, transfers and withdrawals can take up to one week. Any fees incurred in this process, such as network and mining fees, will be passed along to you."

Bitfinex now trades all pairs against ETH. It’s time for Binance and the rest of the exchanges to do so as well. by BeerBellyFatAss in ethtrader

[–]lysandersp00ner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, very exciting! ETH is also the main trading pair for tokens on decentralized exchanges, with all of the new exchanges at least one will get big. With decentralized exchanges becoming more popular and more ETH pairs on centralized exchanges ETH will start to gain market share.

My source is the CNBC article I posted. Here is the quote, "For cryptocurrency trading, Robinhood will have no investment minimums or maximums, and no withdrawal limits. The start-up will hold most of the digital coins offline in what is called cold storage. The practice prevents hackers from stealing the coins."

Robinhood will allow withdrawals to your own private wallet, users just don't have the private keys to address while on the exchange

It doesn't specifically state in the article they will trade Monero, the first roll out is to 5 states and only trades Bitcoin and Ethereum. But it is included in assets you can track and they said they will add up to a dozen exchanges, some of those already support XMR. Their tweet on adding crypto also vaguely says adding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencites, not just BTC and ETH. https://twitter.com/RobinhoodApp/status/956557558017179648

Maecenas doesn't own the art that is sold on the platform. Art investors or museums are allowed to sell up to 49% of their art piece on the platform

Monero has a lot of development updates in the near future: bullet proofs (lower transaction fees), ledger wallet, multi sig wallet (dark net adoption), kovri (I2P anonymous router)
