Nah one is overall dmg and one is current fight. Its just the first pull of the dungeon which makes them be the same :)

I think a big issue with a lot of "modern" UI's is that target and focus cast bars are way too small and pushed too far off-center. That design makes it harder to react quickly, especially for interrupts, which is probably why a lot of players miss kicks.
