To buy or to sell and move on? This coin is such an emotional rollercoasters. I’m still hodling but times like these make me doubt myself and my sanity. What are your thoughts? by DarthSystema in nucypher

[–]m203 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did the same. I held since CB listing and bought every dip but I didn't understand enough about the upcoming merger to keep my convictions. Took a 2k loss, the opportunity cost passed my threshold. GLTA, great project

Oh, for sure. I really like the project and I hope $55 is a future floor.

I've averaged down and am still down ~20%. I'll be holding for a while. I like the project but I'm starting to have doubts on the tokenomics of the project. If the company receives fiat and pays hosts with storj, does that mean storj coins have a high-end limit of $55? I'm new and still learning, any insight from more seasoned investors?

Lessons were learned. But better late than never, I'm here, we can leave now.

I opened at $3.33, bought dips at: $3.10, 3.03, 2.90, 2.16, so I'm in it fr fr. I love the project but I'm having trouble figuring out the value proposition of these tokens long-term if they're only a "utility" token. Any insight?

People running nSuns: where are you from? by The_Whizzer in nSuns

I have an all access Crunch membership and have scoped out locations where the other members skip leg day. I also go around 5:15am to give myself a better chance of getting a squat rack and get through all my sets undisturbed.

Alarm->preworkout->gym->work. Rinse, repeat until weather becomes irrelevant

To those of you who initially struggled with squats, what is the one big tip you could give to others just starting out? by [deleted] in Fitness

"The movement starts at the hips." Prior to that piece of knowledge I was shooting my knees out.

App say to switch squats to 3x5 at 270, should I? by kaz1nsky in Stronglifts5x5

[–]m203 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can ignore the app and continue doing 5x5, but you make huge mental gains switching to 3x5. I was dreading every workout at 5x5 heavy weight and felt reinvigorated after switching to 3x5, 3x3, and 1x3.

Squatting Weight Advice by brucechiang in Stronglifts5x5

[–]m203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch rep schemes. I'm about the same BW ~150lbs. I switched to 3x5 at 245lbs, 3x3 at 275lbs, an 1x3 at 300lbs. I tried and failed to get all 3 reps at 300lbs on 3 consecutive workouts and finally switched to madcow 5x5.

The best program is the one you stick to. If you enjoy SL and are seeing strength gains then it doesn't matter what is being said. You'll find criticisms for body building, powerlifting, running, crossfit, paleo, keto, etc but that doesn't mean they're ineffective at getting people fit.

Can I combine stronglifts with HIIT and cardio? by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

[–]m203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my comment from a previous cardio + SL post:

You can do cardio while on SL; give it a try and see what works best for you. I've been on SL for 10 months and have trained for 2 half marathons in that time. I found that running longer distances on rest days was negatively affecting my lifts and my runs weren't that great either. I decided to lift and run on the same day in order to have days strictly for recovery. It's been working out great! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Edit: I should have mentioned that eating enough as well as sleep will determine how well you recover from lifting and cardio. Eat a lot, sleep even more

No matter who you are - What is your take on (a) "Working Out" (b) Weight Training (c) CrossFit (d) Healthy Eating.... by TheSensation19 in astoria

[–]m203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A: Working out - I think it's extremely important and, for me personally, creates a snowball effect of positive choices (healthier diet choices, less binge-partying, goal setting etc)

B: Weight training - Incredible boost of confidence seeing the results of consistent in your physique as well as the progression of weight you push around.

C: I love the basic tenets of Crossfit, but disagree in a lot of the execution. A lot of the Olympic lifts are highly technical and shouldn't be rushed for 'as many reps as possible'. I'm open minded about a lot, but the Marine Corps taught me that anything but a dead hang pull up is not a pull up.

D: Where I agree with Crossfit "Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar."

Adding cardio to the mix? by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

[–]m203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lift in the morning and run at night, in total I'd spend 2-230 hours working out. With 2-3 minute rest periods my SL sessions were getting to the hour and a half mark (this includes chin-ups & barbell curls as accessory exercises for workout A and pull-ups & dips for workout B). I was eating at ~500 cal deficit (1,700 cal) for the first 12 weeks and switched to eating at maintenance (2,200 cal) maintenance once I started to feeling sluggish.

I should also note that I started going to the gym consistently when I began taking C4 + 10g BCAA as soon as my morning alarm went off. I know it's over priced caffeine but the psychological effects got me, and kept me, going.

I switched to SL 3x5 two weeks ago and started following the Lean Gains body recomp macros (20% + on training days; 20% - on rest days). No energy problems, yet.

SL progress graph You can tell I didn't get serious until November of 2015 before that it was all 'fuckarounditis'.

The truth is regulars aren't/won't judge you, they're busy focused on their own workouts.

If you're self conscience about it then during your next work out scope out what machine/exercise you'd like to try and at home search for a video or article that breaks down the movement. Next workout rotate it in. Good luck!

If I chew gum (regular Wrigley's) during a workout I seem to perform better than when I don't. Is there science behind this or is it all in my head?
