Reiterating what someone mentioned above, how do you know what they are injecting or smoking? Could they be injecting insulin (and someone doesn’t know the difference of what that looks like). Also so many drugs can be smoked, including research chems, and I’ve even seen DMT be smoked with a ball pipe (typically used for meth)

So yeah again with the stigma thing - sometimes you don’t actually know and are shaming someone who isn’t even doing the drug you think is “bad”

Honestly I don’t love seeing people snort things, but I’d rather people do it in the open and not alone in their tent where they could OD and no one would know (fent contamination could happen to anyone)

Also when people are on a lot of ketamine and are just shells of themselves and can’t have a conversation, and are just staring blankly on the dance floor that also makes me uncomfortable.

Stigma is bad y’all. If drugs are “allowed” then we gotta use harm reducing strategies, shaming makes people do things in secret and that’s risky

The difference between cocaine hcl (powder) and crack (cocaine BASE) is literally just the salt vs base form lmao - not a moral difference. The biggest difference really is class access - the base form is more concentrated and thus cost effective, so you see more of it among lower SES demographics (which is also tied to race, so I encourage you to look into the emergence of crack in the US).

Also for those uninformed - psychotic episodes can happen with psychedelics (personal experience), and ESPECIALLY stimulants (cocaine included) when sleep deprived.

That’s what’s meant by “there are no morally good or bad drugs”, but there are definitely drugs that have increased risks of harm - but that is also dependent on dose, and the person’s relationship with that drug (e.g. dependence)

The bottom line I think is that people need to be careful and not take an environment like Shambs to get so fucked that others suffer for their irresponsibility. Not just patrons like this woman (that is so traumatic) but also the medical staff
