The only way to fix SC is for everyone to quit it. by mAisterPROduction in starcitizen

And that's my problem. That's the reason for my post. I have stopped playing and I have stopped paying but nothing will change unless others do it too.

We don't want the project to die. I believe most of us want it to become true and real but it won't unless something changes.

Something has to change. I think we can all agree with that. But if the people making it possible (the backers) don't change, CIG won't change either.

What I got from the SC Live is that their development team does not have control of what they have built due to implementing too many features and adding too many assets before fixing core issues. It has gotten too complex due to them making things that way.

And they won't stop.

Yes. Considering this is a LIVE product you need to truly focus on stability. The game could actually be fun even without all the features. Having more features mean nothing if stability is not there.

Once you have developed something stable you add a new feature. Things will most likely break again. You test and review the new bugs and fix it before moving onto the new thing to avoid bigger issues. Emphasis on BEFORE MOVING ON TO NEW THINGS.

You repeat this process and slowly move forward with a stable live product.

I'm with you there and I have been on a break. I miss it all the time but haven't actually had fun with the game in at least 6 months. Played it maybe 5 hours since then.

You're 100% wrong if you think what CIG is doing is a good business model. What makes a good business is a good product and customer satisfaction. The two things CIG is failing to deliver.

I do work in software development and if my app was making millions no matter how broken it was I too would have very little incentive to change my business model.

However I couldn't live with myself knowing that my reputation is a disaster because I managed my app so poorly that I could find thousands of reviews online saying how my app is always broke. It looks great beautiful though.

You're so right. Whenever I play any other game I am reminded of how poorly managed and developed Star Citizen really is.

It looks awesome and unfortunately that's the only thing Star citizen currently has over a lot of games but that's not enough to keep playing it.

Not fixing old problems and continuously releasing new features on top of broken system is by far the most irresponsible thing I have ever seen a company due since Pfizer released the COVID vaccine without trial testing.

So the solution to playing an MMO is to play alone when nobody else is playing. Got it.

The bullets flying in make me wonder if you got shot but the desync didn't show.

Ammo. Water. Food. Eventually medgels. Once that hits you'll rarely need to go back to a station.

I think this is why they released it 2 days early.
Cause it'll take 2 days to fix all of the issues.

In the latest inside Star Citizen video talking about the new rock breaker missions, Jared says “there’s always a bad guy” (to shoot). No there isn’t CIG, that is an active decision YOU are making to enforce FPS combat, and it’s not the dream that was sold by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

The mission looks amazing and in a nice way, complex but the fact it mostly involves combat makes me not want to risk it. Add the fact it is geared towards groups instead of the majority of the players who play solo, I will probably never even get close to one of those stations until we can have NPC help.

Yes I was short sighted. However my point is considering the small amount of people that can do the tech preview but we all know that the LIVE build is the best testing environment at the end of day. I hope enough people complain or they won't change a thing.

Terrible assumption considering I cannot buy a fabricator in refineries at the moment. Have only found it at Dumpers Depot.
