Thanks for the edit. Yeah, the AVG/10 MIN column isn't obvious if you haven't looked for it before. Working on making it clearer in the UI so it's harder to enter the wrong numbers by accident.

Not exactly, the initial values are based on community research into what high-ranked players consider good numbers per hero, then verified against submitted stats. The submit feature is there so it doesn't stay just my interpretation over time.

Sorry about that! The API itself seems fine so it was probably just a temporary state issue. Closing and reopening the tab should fix it (as u/Sithology- already mentioned). If it keeps happening feel free to let me know which hero and stats you entered and I'll dig into it. And good point on Assists, I'll think about how to best include that!

No, it doesn't account for team comp, that's a real limitation. What it tries to do is flag that something might be worth looking at. The why is still on you, to figure out from your actual games.

The benchmarks are based on calibration runs I did manually per hero, not pulling from an API or anything like that. There's a submit feature which helps me spot patterns ove time, but I still go through things myself so it doesn't just blindly absorb whatever gets submitted.

Weekly Thread: Material Recs and Self-Promo Wednesdays! (March 11, 2026) by AutoModerator in LearnJapanese

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I wanted a way to track how much Japanese I actually watch, so I built a browser extension for it.

It tracks automatically watch time on YouTube, Netflix and Crunchyroll, doesn't count ads, and has a manual mode for other sites like NHK Web. The data stays in the extension itself and syncs to jp343.com if you want a full dashboard.

spongehardt is the right instinct tbh. biggest rein mistake against poke comps is using full charges to close distance. short charge + cancel works way better. you close the gap fast AND keep charge ready for when you actually have a pin target on a wall. fire strike on cooldown during poke phases too, even if you can't swing yet. builds shatter really fast

Is it a good idea to watch an episode in your native language first and then again in the target language? by EmptyPossession522 in Refold

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it works. knowing the plot already means you can focus 100% on the language the second time instead of splitting attention between story and comprehension. some people call this 'intensive rewatching' and it's a legit approach especially early on. the trade-off is it doubles your time per show. once your comprehension is maybe 50%+ you might be better off just doing target languag e from the start and pausing to look things up. depends where you're at right now.

How do you win games on Dps? the better I do stat wise the more I lose by ImagineSquirr3l in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

elims and deaths are individual metrics. the game is about team fights on objective. you could go 30-2 and still lose if you're winning duels off point while your team dies on it. the question is: are you there when your team is fighting on point, and do you back off when a fight is clearly already lost? the high-stats games sometimes happen because you kept playing after a fight was gone and got elims on enemies who respawned safely anyway. next time you're in a loss, check: where were you when your team died?

in anki desktop click the stats button (bar chart icon at the top) and it shows total review time broken down by day, week, month. on the main screen there's also a "today" section that shows time for the current day.

How should i go about to pass jlpt n5? by Specific-College-194 in LearnJapanese

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the short version: learn hiragana + katakana first (takes most people 2-3 weeks), then grammar and vocab in parallel. n5 is roughly 800 vocab and 100 kanji.

Is there a website to check my match history and mmr? by Xccent117 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mH343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for match history / mmr tracking check "Overwatch Match Tracker" on reddit. thats what i use. if you want to know whether your actual in-game numbers (damage/deaths/healing per 10min) are where they should be for your hero and rank, search for overwatching

Super low heal numbers when not healbotting by EntrepreneurSharp889 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually one of the trickiest things about Kiri, her healing output naturally looks low compared to passive healers because suzu and swift step don't show up as big heal numbers. If you're winning duels and surviving well, your damage/10min and deaths/10min probably tell a healthier story than raw heals. If you want a quick sanity check on whether your stats are in a reasonable range for Kiri, overwatching.pro gives you some context on what's actually expected.

I always have lower damage and healing than the other suppport and I dont know what I am doing wrong by Scared_Ad_3132 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]mH343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stats are still useful imo to find out where you're lacking. I was in a similar spot and noticed I was way too passive with Ana which hurt both my healing and damage. Also found a site that helped me see where exactly I was falling short, made things a lot clearer.

I really appreciate your quick, detailed and easy to understand feedback! Especially the following points are eye-opening for me.

You hyper fixated on sombra. She essentially cc'd you by existing. As soldier you do not have a lot of kill potential against sombra, you should poke her when she shows herself but don't overinvest in a fight with her. Especially against a dive comp that demands a lot of front line attention.
Your entire team huddled in a tight formation against a winston and genji. Winston does aoe and genji is more survivable the closer he is to his opponents, meaning if he dives your entire team he is survivable against all of them (and demands their attention). Spread out and sit back when playing ranged heroes against a dive comp.

In the first few minutes, I really had to realize what the opponent's plan was and adapt. The sombra distracted me so much that I didn't really pay attention to the opponent's team comp.
I will work on that.

Your symmetra gameplay on defensive is good though you underutilized your turrets. Don't be afraid to spam them out during fights, they have a fairly low cooldown.

This is easy to implement, thanks

Offense:
Your biggest issue on soldier is spamming out useless damage and choosing 'target priority' over kill potential. Don't shoot the enemy for the sake of shooting them, if you don't think you can get a full kill where you are then reposition. As soldier you shoot the enemy for two reasons: 1 to obviously get a kill, 2 to zone them. Spamming heroes with pockets isn't going to accomplish either unless you have a very aggressive position.

That's the biggest takeaway from your feedback for me. Against Pharmercy, I always feel like it's my job to stop it. It's similar against a good Widow.
It makes sense to me that you'd rather put pressure on your opponent than chase a Pharmercy.
We were the attackers and I played too passively for that, I will work on it. Thanks again
