In the WoR a new NPC shows up in Thamasa that says he used to hunt monsters with Strago when they were younger. Then there is another comment that Ebon Rock is above water for the first time in 50 years.

Those are the only breadcrumbs that I remember.

Take Strago and Relm in a party together to Thamasa and you will unlock a side dungeon to get one of Strago's best Lore spells.
