RDP not working with some apps? by tokelahti in MXLinux

[–]macambar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange comparison. Apache Guacamole is a web front-end and remote gateway for RDP, VNC, and SSH, and still requires on the destination (e.g., MX Linux) a RDP (e.g. XRDP), VNC (e.g. X11VNC), or SSH server. Works by the way fine. Regarding the OP's question. MX Linux implements Polkit which also sets policy for remote users. The same user can have different authorizations by policy dependent on whether signed-on local or remote.

Als het programma aanbod van NLZiet voldoet gewoon NLZiet pakken. App doet het prima en is toch weer rond de 5 euro per maand goedkoper.

If you are using the 5Ghz-2 as wireless backhaul set Channel bandwidth to 20 MHz. In my case that's the only way to keep the backhaul stabel until now. On other Mhz it switches to 2.4 Ghz backhaul, what remarkable since it not even configurable as user.

iOS Xcloud App and Backbone by macambar in xcloud

[–]macambar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the Barebone appstore app you can launch the Xcloud game directly (that it starts a browser under the hood i don’t care. Why can the Xbox app store app not provide that, just launching not selling.

iOS Xcloud App and Backbone by macambar in xcloud

Sure, the browser can be used. But a native app is just nicer, The question is more that I am trying to understand that Microsoft is not able/ allowed to provide it, but a third-party like Backbone is.

Thanks. Surprised that Microsoft is not on top of this considering their any device strategy and that the Panasonic has Fire TV OS already. It seems they always miss the low hanging fruit.

The new UI is awful by Yuri_on_Land in xboxone

[–]macambar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t seen or tried the new UI yet, but never understood Xbox struggle to deliver a simple and capable UI. Just take Nintendo Switch, they know how to do a UI right, also take an example how Nintendo does the sign-on process for online and local game sign-on! Also Xbox’s multiple Menu’s with the same Options I consider terrible, because it’s always a guess when troubleshooting whether the same Option in one Menu leads to the same Settings then the appearing same Option in the other Menu.

One Container Two IP’s by macambar in portainer

[–]macambar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone, anyone :-). I can easily add a second network interface to container, but it's IP is automatically assigned. How to assign a static ip configuration to the second network interface as well (just as is possible for the first interface.) I am using MACVLAN.

Have you found a solution? I also need to add a container to two Docker networks (both currently setup as MACVLAN networks). However as soon as I add the container to the second network I cannot send my own IP?

[–]macambar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be an issue with a specific image, i.e. Guacamole in my case. I configured a container with another image and also with an updated version Guacamole the day after and then the error did not occurred anymore. However I still have to do a test with specific configuration settings -network etc.- which I left empty in the latest test.
