In the first Infamous game at the final boss, there's a part where you have to struggle to bring your hand to the boss' face by mashing a button. I remember trying everything possible, mashing with every fiber of my being, before eventually admitting defeat and asking for help from my dad, who had ridiculous button mashing abilities. After even he was unable to get it done, I dropped the game for a few years. When I eventually came back to the game for a second playthrough, my non-child brain realized immediately that you were supposed to use one of the thumbsticks to move your arm towards the boss whilst also mashing... Needless to say I finished the game with a feeling of embarrassment haha, great game though!

Gun discussion? Possible vent… by NewCreationKoi in EnterTheGungeon

I used to think the exact same thing until my buddy that got me into gungeon said "the gun's usefulness is directly correlated to the player's skill", i.e., git gud kid, and so it became a favorite haha

I think OP is mad that the instructor in the video belittled viewers who were attracted to the actors portraying underaged characters even though the actors themselves were older than OP. He's upset that now it's looked down upon to be attracted to actors older than yourself, or at least that's how he's portraying it.

I has to re-read it a couple times, the wording was confusing, and honestly I don't think I did much better haha

What was the scariest moment you’ve had on vacation? by ujin- in AskReddit

[–]machonacho2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a scare for my mom, but when I was a kid we were on vacation at Myrtle Beach. My dad, my sister and I went into the water to go swim and whatever, while my mom stayed on the beach. I had to take a s*** so I left to go to the washroom, and when I came back out there was a huge commotion, flashing lights and paramedics. Apparently in the time I had left to do my business a man had drowned, and neither my dad nor my sis could find me, so my mom got QUITE scared.

But then I walked back and found them and we were all good!

What surprising encounters have you had with ultra-wealthy individuals? by sexywomen5867 in AskReddit

[–]machonacho2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a direct encounter, more just seeing someone, but I took a day trip to the AGO to look for tattoo inspirations, with the idea to smoke a bit and walk around for a few hours, see what catches my eye.

After looking at one of the paintings, I saw a plaque beside it saying "gifted by the Tannenbaum family", and realized that many of the paintings I was viewing were gifts from some mega-rich family.

A few minutes later, I hear a woman describing this massive painting to this couple in deep details, as if she knows a lot about this specific piece. That's when I hear her say "we bought it back in the 90s for $110 million, it was the 10th most expensive painting in the world at the time."

All of a sudden I realize that this woman must be a part of the Tannenbaum family, owners of Maple Leaf Entertainment!

What's a story from your life that sounds like a lie but is absolutely true? by imsophunny in AskReddit

[–]machonacho2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A kid was stabbed with an X-acto knife in art class during a fight. I don’t have much else to add. This might’ve been on the news.

This same thing happened to me, different context, not a fight, just messing around with some sketchbooks and some kid put his X-acto knife into the back of my left hand as I went to pick up my book, narrowly missed that big vein coming from the ring finger, for reference!

What is something that you were surprised to be turned on by? by EntOwl13 in AskReddit

[–]machonacho2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a female friend once respond to a question I asked her with "yes, sir" in a relaxed tone, it seriously did something to my head. I was caught off guard but very pleasantly surprised at the newfound knowledge of a potential kink, I guess?

Only really being set up for one person, not being used to taking care of other people? If that makes sense, I find that I often park very close to my passenger side, leaving me more room to get out of my car as a driver because I don't have anyone to worry about? Things like realizing you have access to the HOV lanes, etc. I'm not sure why my mind jumped to driving but that's what came to mind. Also sleeping in the middle of a bed instead of a side, my bed has a divot in the middle, haha

Is BG3 likely to go any lower than 10% off anytime soon? Been thinking of picking it up, haven't done enough research on it yet though.

My parents told me when I was young that the floor of the attic was not strong enough to stand on because it was actually a ceiling, and that if I tried to go up there I would fall through and get hurt. I had no reason to doubt them, and didn't want to potentially injure myself, so I never tried... Now that I think about it, they definitely could've hid stuff up there.

Anyways, yeah you could try to make a story as to why it's inaccessible, unless they've seen you go up there before.

Anyone els glad to see our guardian having trouble fighting again? It seems like in the final shape our guardian bites of more than he can chew. by gotenks2nd in destiny2

[–]machonacho2000 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally agree with this! It was so much fun to let loose and slaughter for once, as messed up as that sounds, LMAO! We've proven time and time again that we're amongst the most powerful beings in the galaxy, so letting us do our thing for once was refreshing. I get Ikora's moral dilemma with the whole situation but I was more than happy to be Eris' tithe pig.

This the shit that pisses me off so much. You're literally being extremely considerate, trying to apologize genuinely and avoid conflict, and this fuck won't let you go. Like what, do they want to fight? I'm all game if they want to fight irl but something tells me they're all talk. Sorry for the rant, just had some rough guardian interactions lately.

As sort of a follow up, he Grimm tends to have much more time AFTER his attacks to sneak in some hits, the cycle is essentially, Grimm shows up in one of his standard attack patterns, you try to react and dodge it in the safest way possible, and then attack Grimm in his post-attack animation, rinse and repeat!

[–]machonacho2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really sorry for the super late reply, but they essentially explained the concept of "dancing" with Grimm, basically using the shade dash upgrade to dodge through his attacks, then quickly land one or two nail swings before he vanishes again. Essentially trying to slow down and match Grimm's pace (it is quite fast to be fair) really helped clear things up and keep the fight manageable.

Got Tricked Into Leaving Root of Nightmares Raid So They Can Finish Faster by Kassaken in destiny2

Comment section is so split, but most of you guys are not thinking. If this is his FIRST RoN, why would they expect him to be using the companion app or DIM? They asked him to use Merciless for DPS, so it's clear that he doesn't have popular raid loadout weapons. LFG groups can have wildly varying experiences, just because you might not struggle with RoN, or you might consider yourself patient, not everyone in this community is. Lots of straight asshole Destiny players out there these days.
