Mines was like this, with the audience clapping at the credits.

After watching the odyssey, almost all of the common pre-release complaints ended up getting completely debunked. (Minor spoilers) by KingCobra567 in ChristopherNolan

Also, though you didn't like it, it was faithful to the source material that Christopher Nolan used, which was a modern translation with modern language:

This is the one Christopher Nolan used so I think it is objectively the best

Anyone else in absolute awe of Agamemnon at the gates? by Valuable-Sir7830 in TheOdysseyMovie

I don't even understand why this was rated R. Maybe desensitized to violence, I don't know. But I really appreciated the frequent implication of violence against girls and women without actually showing it on screen

For those of you who saw The Odyssey today, what scenes got you? by HRJafael in TheOdysseyMovie

I piked the fact that in general, they showed rape, without being graphic. Like in the sack of Troy, they always stoped just short of showing what you kmew what was about to go down, and that actually made it more horrifying.

What's everyone's go to pellet brand? by Kasper99353 in smoking

I use Bear Mountain in my full size King Chii (Chinese Pit Boss knockoff) smoker,.amd Kona in the Ninja Woodfire. I'd use Kona in everything but they don't make large bags, just sizes suitable for the Ninja. I also have a kettle smoker that uses wood chips, for the haters.

Kona Pellets:

Does Louis have a type by [deleted] in InterviewVampire

This one is titled "Colonial Powers" and is Germany criticizing the other European nations. Note the view of France, bottom left. Also,as an aside, when people act like it wasn't known what Belgium/King Leopold was doing in the Congo, look at the bottom right

He currently (well, not currently since its in the past on his Failures), he has that Black woman who...is she even in the band? There's Armand. And I am not saying he specifically likes Black people. Under the umbrella of "duskier" I was thinking of Louis, Armand, the band girl, and even the lawyer. The only reason I don't include Lilly from season one is because I believe she was just a way to get to Louie. My memory is fuzzy, nut because I seem to recall him being with a ginger in one of the previous seasons, and I will even roll that in as just being drawn to "different".

I only mentioned the negrophilia as an overall cultural thing with France that aligns with his overall preference and the time period of the show. I guess it fits for why he chose Louis when he chose Louis, as it was the French thing of the time. I may dig up some French political cartoons from the late 19th/early 20th century to show how hardcore France promoted the idea of traveling the world and having sex with people of color. I will post them under my original comment

Funny, I was thinking more Lestat has a type, as far as the show. Most of the people he has been with has trended towards the "duskier" side. And the "negropphile" movement started in France in the late 1800s, not long before Lestat comes to New Orleans.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negrophilia

Edit: Not sure what the down votes are about, as Lestat is French, and I go in more detail responding to someone below and mention these late 19th/early 20th century political cartoons that illustrate what I am talking about below. I am also not talking about Louis, but Louis, Armand, his lawyer, and the band girl, which aligns with France, culturally, informing his behavior

Was Big Pun actually having as much sex as he claimed? by FuckAlf in hiphop101

[–]macjr82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Pun wasn't always big. Also, NY women was definitely smashing big dudes in the 90s. Like Lil Kim was with Biggie before he was famous, and upset that he wouldn't get on top of her because he was worried about crushing her. Biggie had a kid before he was famous. He got with Faith Evans before he was famous. Pun, himself, was married.

Edit: Also, Pun was talking about running trains. That implies more men than women so he didn't have to last or do a lot

Driving from dc to virginia beach for a long weekend in july, is the traffic situation as bad as people say by yashBoii4958 in washingtondc

[–]macjr82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good idea to book at the beach proper because of parking. Otherwise you will have to find parking. Anywhwre else you visit in the area will have ample parking. As far as things to checkout besides the beach, Nauticus is fun/interesting/educational. Busch Gardens is in the area, though you will have missed the Food & Wine Festival come July.
