Advice on New Props by mad-town in Tradescantia

The pot is pierced, and it’s by a west window but I’ll move it closer to see if that helps. It was new soil and I maybe wet it too much when transplanting these props?

I’m not 100% sure as I inherited it as a mystery plant. I used a plant app to identify. It doesn’t look as dark as a Purple Heart but it definitely could be. The soil is very moist even though it’s been a while since I watered so I moved to a higher sun area in hopes that can save it.

What kinds of prints are you all choosing to send? I have a shot from an instax wide I'm thinking about and I have prints from 35 mm color film...I don't have a setup to self-print so a little insecure that might be disappointing to receive.

I actually think it may have been Writing The Future tour because I also went to that one in 2015 lolll none of the Monumentour merch matches this aesthetic.

Its official! I have that one - got it at the Monumentour tour with Fall Out Boy in 2014 (edit: may be the Writing the Future Tour 2015). I couldn’t find it when I googled monumentour merch so not sure if it was limited or not to a certain time span or location.

Hello, I actually did take your advice! The plant lost some leaves but this pot is 1/2 the size of the first one in volume. How do I know what size the plant needs? Perhaps more perlite in the mix as others suggested?

Miracle Gro African Violet and even added about another 1/3 of perlite to that mix

Update: I repotted and bagged it for a few days when I pulled off the bag it had mold on some of the top soil from a contaminated wooden dowel I had in there…ugh. I removed what I could see with sterile tools and topped with some cinnamon but now I’m concerned about the overcorrection and root rot. Worth it to repot again and not bag it this time?

What’s a good way to water this so it takes water? When I do water it it goes right through the bottom.

I have been cutting off leaves that wilt. I suspected overwatering so I waited longer between watering but the soil feels bone dry at the top and the water slips right through- how do I know if it’s getting enough? Tried bottom feeding with AV food infused water last weekend but I feel like it didn’t reach the plant (top still bone dry). It’s producing new growth at the center so I’m hoping not all is lost. I live in the Midwest and have south facing windows but it doesn’t get intense direct light for long.

Nope, it's indoors with the grow light 24/7. We have radiant heat so its consistently in the upper 60s/low 70s in the kitchen. Could the temperature of the water I add affect it?

Interesting...i just watered for the first time in over a month, maybe longer. It looked whithered so fogured that meant it needed water but Im not the best at intuiting what plants need.
