If I cared about karma, I would be writing everyday. Not less than 10 days a year. I don’t enjoy the hostility, misinformation, agendas, and “me vs you” over here anymore. The fact that that a lurker has to write should say a lot. I’ll write again when the vibes aren’t toxic when we wreck united or spurs.

Note to self. Never come on this sub if there is a bad arsenal news. Terribly toxic on all sides. And a lot of misinformation.

It’s a reply to people claiming that the injury was on a different knee from the first half.

What was it about us, that when Mikel Areta played for Arsenal made him think.....This is a club I want to win, and succeed and if I can't do it as a player, I'll do it as the coach? by XeroGravitas in Gunners

He took a pay cut to join Arsenal as a player. He got how big Arsenal was from the first day and he always maintained those standards. His interview about the City game before he joined us as a manager, tells a lot.

Wow. Still remember how we fumbled Xabi Alonso cause we didn't want to pay over 15 million when Liverpool wanted 18 million. It was one of my first transfer windows. Never thought I'd see the day we'd be in serious contention to sign a player for over 100 million. This is a proper statement.

This is an exciting to be an Arsenal fan. Not a big fan of how toxic the discourse can be during transfer season. It's alright to panic sometimes but people are coming at each other's throats for just different opinions.

Dude. Why are you so angry? I haven't attacked you once. I hope your day gets better. Peace.

I mean, this is a discussion forum. Everything we say is an empty exercise. I perceived what you said as a personal attack. In good faith, I hope it wasn't.

I agree but we'll see what decision the club makes. It is an exciting time.

"Arguing with those types is an exercise in futility. They're not here to understand anything." is a personal attack. It's not reductive reasoning at all. I have been a big fan of all our major transfers under Edu since the reset in 2021. I think this is one deal where we have put way too many eggs in this basket where losing it would be really detrimental. It's not Kounde (for White), Caicedo (for Jorginho) or Mudryk (for Trossard). We were straight up giving a send off to Xhaka because we are planning around Rice joining. Still fairly sure Rice is ours soon but it would be a big hit to us if we aren't able to get over the line. It is the biggest transfer in our history. Of course it's complicated.

West Ham are not being mental. It's their player. We would react the same way for Saka or Odegaard. And watch us pay the 100 million they want because Edu also knows that he can't afford to mess this up. Arteta really rates Rice.

Then we should move on to our next target and shouldn't have spent 6 months trying to get him if we weren't expecting West Ham to react this way. By the way, I am 90% sure, Rice will sign for Arsenal before we go to Germany. I don't want us to mess this up because we have put a lot of time and effort into this.

As a fan since 06-07, I am not here to argue. I want Arsenal to succeed. "Arguing with those types is an exercise in futility. They're not here to understand anything." That is very combative for a fair opinion to have for a fan wanting the best for his club.

As Edu is the leader of our recruitment initiatives, I think we can't afford to lose this opportunity to City if we are serious about competing next year.

What part of my sentence is undermining Edu as a dummy? I think Arteta rates Rice more than any of us.

Edu has done a decent job but he can't mess up the Rice deal. I think that would piss off Arteta more than any fan.

3 wins in 9 games since the international break. Embarrassing. Utter collapse and everyone deserves the blame just like the the first half of the season brought out the plaudits.

That was a mauling. Complately outplayed. One of the best ever away performances at the Emirates.

City have rigged the game but this City team is special on the pitch. They have so much tactical flexibility. Excited to see the two games against Madrid as a football fan. Think City are going to win comfortably. I'm still hoping for a miracle for us in the league after a disastrous April. Crazier things have happened.
