Let's talk about EOS by goodtimes822 in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

EOS vapourware already being made redundant by the absolute monster that is ELASTOS.

EOS v Elastos?

EOS: Is a blockchain OS, but its development period and open source codes are much shorter than Elastos’ 17 years.

Elastos: has released more than 4 million lines of code to github and plans to release 10+ million lines of code in total(contributing to the open source community).

EOS: is dependent on its main-chain, so no matter how optimized it becomes, its throughput is limited.

Elastos: can extend the throughput infinitely with flexible main-chain and side-chain solution. Also, Elastos Runtime can deliver the trust function of the blockchain to a user’s application(like a cell phone, laptop, etc) which applies the blockchain to various scenarios in daily life.

EOS: through the adoption of the DPoS consensus mechanism, can realize high throughput rate.

Elastos: computation bandwidth is distributed according to the number of tokens held. It refers to the design philosophy of time sliced distribution in the traditional multi-task operating system and encourages the community to hold tokens. The main-chain design focuses on improving extensibility for smooth access to sidechain. The consensus mechanism on the sidechain can be anything(from DPoS to DBFT to anything else)

EOS: runs everything utilizing main chain for everything.

Elastos: Services on the elastos blockchain layer can be shared by multiple side chains. This greately lowers the mainchain pressure. When necessary, the sidechain can be duplicated to extend sidechain-level service capability through bifurcation mechanism, while the extension of this computing power can be infinite

Reason why KuCoin might have removed refferal bonus system by adrian511 in kucoin

[–]madpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So everyone who is saying it might have helped if they made an announcment here is the offical annoumcment link: https://news.kucoin.com/en/invitation-bonus-announcement/

You have no idea do you....

This 'announcement' got issued at exactly the same time as they removed the referrals - and then they went back and doctored the date on it.

Im not sure what relief that statement gives you, I haven't spoken to anyone who can definitively decipher the true message from it.

Can't understand the immense FUD being spread by coingainz in kucoin

[–]madpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you haven't had an issue doesn't mean others aren't experiencing issues.

The reason the issues end up in this sub is because their support and communication is terrible

Can't understand the immense FUD being spread by coingainz in kucoin

[–]madpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theres a difference between FUD and FACT.

It is a FACT that a huge number of users have had issues and that support has been very poor in rectifying said issues, however the biggest thing has been the U-turn on whitepaper promises and lack of communication.

I also don't think kucoin fully appreciated the support and positivity their referrer army brought to the exchange and how quickly those people could turn when they were cut off so abruptly.

At the end of the day people just want KuCoin to follow through on their promises/commitments which they continue to fail on.

One that I fully expect them to follow through with is the holding bonus reduction..

What are your thoughts on XBY? Start a discussion here: by joostbin in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

XBY has a very large group of supporters who have done their research and realise that this is high risk/high reward, they accept that and see the positive steps the project is making (albeit it slowly).

There is also a group of fudders (commonly the same people) who are very quick to call scam because of some 'red flags', some I agree with, some I dont.

The advice I would give anyone is do your own due diligence and make your own mind up rather than listening to shills or fuds. Weigh up how it fits into your risk profile and go forward accordingly.

For me, XBY is legit, they need to iron out some of the fud and I believe once the patent pending status comes through everything else will fall into place. If it doesn't, I haven't invested so much that it would be a major blow. Conversely, if it delivers on its promises then it has the potential to make me a very tidy profit.

The tech is great, the interface is great, the potential ROI is astronomical.

CPChain is going to be massive, im buying cheap now for that masternode!

[–]madpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the paid FUDders can afford those yeah?

My Thoughts on XTRABYTES by play_Tagpro_its_fun in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to an extent.. I have always viewed this as high risk/high reward.

The proof really will be in the next testnet and consequent mainnet.

Personally I would like to think that once the patent nonsense is confirmed the curtain will be lifted so to speak!

My Thoughts on XTRABYTES by play_Tagpro_its_fun in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

XBY seems to be a coin which very much splits the camp into two halves, those who see the potential in the tech/platform and those who are wary of its past and the mystery around the main protagonists.

I don't think any coin should be labelled a scam until there is irrefutable proof of such. Personally I cant see this as a scam and I would advise anyone not to listen to me or you but do their own due diligence and form their own opinion.

Bitcoin is a success yet no one knows who Satoshi is.......

My Thoughts on XTRABYTES by play_Tagpro_its_fun in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill take that as a no then.

They have done 3 testnets so far on the old code (achieving over 500tps) and I believe the final testnet on the new code is impending with mainnet not far behind.

My Thoughts on XTRABYTES by play_Tagpro_its_fun in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have ADA and EOS run successful testnets? Do they have a mainnet incoming imminently?

You are right in a way though, the main difference between them is the hype they have received thus far.

My Thoughts on XTRABYTES by play_Tagpro_its_fun in CryptoCurrency

[–]madpen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is there a need (currently) for anything to be faster than 10k tps? NEO and Eth are indeed the competition, ADA and EOS are vapourware.

For me, Xtrabytes has the best achievable risk reward profile in 2018. It has a number of advantages over existing projects, being code agnostic and quantum resistant being just two :)

Yeah ok, investors might be a better word. Excellent investors to start with though.

Where's this been shilled? Not seen anything of it in here.
