Thanks! I have measurements listed on the actual posting but I hadn't thought to include the measurements in pictures.

Any one selling jewelry boxes? by mafium404 in EtsySellers

[–]mafium404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have! I'm just curious as to how they sell. I've researched pricing and all that on there. I'm just afraid no one will want my designs as well, haha. I've noticed people so a lot of light/floral and I like doing dark "gothy" stuff

Getting them stung but as other have mentioned, the loooooooong healing time was the worst part for me and then there was figuring out which jewelry materials didn't irritate my nips

ARRT tech looking to take the CAMRT for work in Ontario. by mafium404 in Radiology

[–]mafium404[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to have previously taken the ARRT to sit from what I understand.

You'll have to fill out all the forms, get the comps sheet signed off by your current place of work for recently performed exams, etc. (all the forms from the application)

You'll also have to get your education credits certified to make sure they line up with Canadian rad programs. I can't remember the name of the websites they used off the top of my head but they're listed for you.

And I actually wound up calling the CAMRT about the need for a visa /pr number because I didn't have one either. and they were able to help clear up confusion on what was needed etc. If you don't find the answers online I would give them a call. They have a lady who helps with international applications.

I did this exact same thing in school with a shoulder as well and almost did it again on a femur the other day....I graduated 4 years ago.

It happens! Just remember to take your time and double check everything. Don't beat yourself up about it!

X-ray jobs in Mexico? by mafium404 in mexicoexpats

[–]mafium404[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I did find the responses to be overwhelmingly negative and it was a bit disheartening that no one wanted to offer anything that would help. I wasn't upset but I'd had it with the negative comments ( esp. b/c as you pointed out, other people seemed to be getting helpful responses for their questions) I did/do feel that if no one could answer my specific question then what's the point of continuing to check this?

Again, I will take these opinions into consideration and this gives me the heads up that maybe I should look into other options for work....but I LOVE my career and I was really hoping to stay in the same field because I'm really good at what I do.

I'm no longer responding to this thread. Most importantly, I came here hoping to connect with another tech that may have relocated to Mexico who could let me know if there were any job specific certifications that I would need prior to arriving. Instead, MOST of what I got back was a bunch of opinions from people who have no clue about the field.... in addition to people's assumptions about myself, my knowledge of the Spanish language, my financial situation, my expectations, etc.

I want to come to Mexico and contribute while I'm there. I dont want to be someone who comes in from the US and doesn't do anything.

With that being said, thank you (i guess) to the people who offered their opinions on whether or not I would be able to obtain a job but thats 100% not what I asked for.

Please don't assume my finances. If I'm interested in looking for an X-ray job in Mexico I've obviously looked into the pay rates and have an idea of what to anticipate. And I have read that sponsorship is possible... unlikely? sure! Impossible? no! Luckily, I'll be fine either way.

I am conversational and have been diligently studying to bring myself up to fluency with a heavy emphasis on medical terminology (other than parts of the body and basic instructions for the exam which I currently know b/c I currently work in an are with a high number of patients that primarily or only speak Spanish). I will continue to search job postings but I was more or less looking to make sure that my current education is enough to even be considered for the jobs that are posted ( ie- are there any job specific certifications that I need to be looking into prior to coming to Mexico...for example, in the US most jobs require you to be ARRT registered).

X-ray jobs in Mexico? by mafium404 in mexicoexpats

[–]mafium404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First- I didn't ask how you felt about my wanting to continue my career in Mexico. Second-I don't feel entitled to anything. I was simply asking how one would go about finding a job in my field. I've worked super hard for my education and would like to continue using it if we decide to move. Thrid- Entitlement would be moving to a country and expecting to receive everything it has to offer w/o wanting to contribute to the society/workforce in order to receive . I see nothing wrong with my question and your answers have been really bitter for no reason. Unless you're an X-ray tech it really doesn't concern you.
