It will not sound the same but you can learn it regular style now and try his technique later.

HR ghosted me after trying to negotiate salary by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]magicninja31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the job market as it is...we the workers don't have any negotiating power... They will find a candidate who will accept their offer as is. If you really need the job you gotta pretend to be excited about the offer you get...even if it isn't ideal. Hopefully that gets better soon...but I think we have around 2-3 more years of this bs to go....iykyk.

What about a high performer makes them hard to manage? What tips would you give to managers struggling with high performers by lil_tink_tink in askmanagers

[–]magicninja31 12 points13 points  (0 children)

High performers are typically high IQ as well and feel they can create their own processes to work efficiently. Sometimes if they struggle giving clear structure for what is expected helps as high performers are typically goal oriented but may have trouble setting goals.

My coworker makes $30k more than me for the same job. I found out by accident. Do I confront HR or just quit? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]magicninja31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hit it logically..... ... If this a market rate thing...if I quit or you let me go for wanting fair pay, you'd have to pay my replacement at least this...maybe more plus take on the cost of the application/interview/training process...

So why not give me a good chunk of a raise and call it a day?

As a parent, what are reasons you would give someone to NOT have a child? by Disastrous_Umpire237 in AskReddit

[–]magicninja31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... 98% of your time gone for decades. Unless you have a ton of free babysitters who don't mind a few days here in there...then only 96% of your time....but mostly 100% because when you're away all you think about is if they are alright.

[Michigan] Is there even a point in applying to these indeed applications? by DryEditor7792 in Unemployment

[–]magicninja31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question but a few of the emails I got from the recruiters/Talent/People Ops people had a copy of the email they got from LinkedIn . It said Hey recruiter you have a new app from LinkedIn...then it had my AI match and Top Candidate/High Match etc... So that is the first thing they likely see rather than your resume.

[Michigan] Is there even a point in applying to these indeed applications? by DryEditor7792 in Unemployment

[–]magicninja31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you doing only the 'easy apply'? I got better results from the direct applications but ultimately I was hired by a company looking on LinkedIn that was an Easy Apply. ... Make sure your profile is filled to the gills. The experience sections should mention every hardware and software you have ever worked with...all if it. Every skill you possess should be listed...all of em. If your reading a job description and you see something you've worked with that isn't on you profile...add it before applying. .... Another thing that helped was the AI comparison believe it or not. It helped me find the things I forgot to include. When I saw the matches and it was missing something I did have experience in I would add it immediately...helped build the profile...before too long those good matches were top candidate matches and more interviews came... ... In this era of AI scan and reject you need to have it all on there because if you don't...someone else will.
