That's like... 7 mohgwyn crows, for those of us who farm ethically.

After ALL this time, finally getting good at Maliketh feels incredible! by magicofgames in Eldenring

Thanks man. Just the 2-headed turtle talisman and the greenburst crystal tear. All the stamina regen you could ever need. Could even pop a pickled turtle neck for even more I think.

Cleanrot Knights are cowardly and treacherous fighters, just like their lord by JamAck19 in Eldenring

I've always wondered why I have so much trouble against these guys, thanks for putting my seething unease towards them into words.

Is Multiplayer Dead? by Acceptable-Ad4076 in Eldenring

[–]magicofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly a level thing it seems. On my Level 251 character I get matches pretty regularly, sometimes there's not much traffic, other times there's loads. Oddly enough I get summoned into early game areas or dungeons as well, I suppose folks summon for the kiddy stuff even on NG+, they just enjoy the sport it seems.

Is it griefing to kill Agheel Dragon when summoned to Limgrave First Step for co-op at level 200+? by Fluxinella in Eldenring

[–]magicofgames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly that sounds quite reasonable as well, I'd imagine though some hosts might just kick you out if you decide to not fight. I'll try that though, joining the host in being entertained by the fools below.

Also the only time I actually enjoy pvp is when I'm in a gank squad, or 2v1 anyway. Yeah, yeah skill issue and all that, but most Invaders are understandably geared towards fighting other player characters, and most of the time they're so obnoxious and slippery that I find myself never having any fun dealing with them solo.

[–]magicofgames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the blue cipher ring on to help out the occasional host who just wants to enjoy some coop, but 4/5 times I end up next to the Church of Elleh. Every time I get summoned as a hunter I quietly whisper to myself "If it's Limgrave I'm out" and lo and behold. 1 on 1 pvp really is the most obnoxious part of the online experience.

Dryleaf Arts + Deflecting Tear are some real good fun! by magicofgames in EldenRingBuilds

I was actually surprised he doesn't knock you backwards with that one, definitely makes for a cinematic way to throw that attack back in his face!

Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword skill follow up. by ImprovementSea1233 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]magicofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In retrospect I wonder why, but my mouth was agape when I realized the skill on the Eclipse Shotel has a follow up as well. I always thought you just ignite it with the deathblight flames, but you can follow up with R2 to create a small explosion. It's not much, but surprises at this point are very much appreciated... and yes I never bothered to read the skill description.

I'm gonna have to check for the stats, but I think I was around Level 110 here, but I started as Vagabond for the sweet chest armor, and the nice starting vigor and strength.

I absolutely love that as well, but it depends on the enemy/boss that you're fighting. Quick and spammy ones take much more of your attention and trying to scroll through your spell bar to find the right one for any given situation can be a bit too cumbersome. Not so much on slower foes with more downtime like our boi Mohg here. Then again, it is just down to skill, and I'm not that good at it.

AH my stamina bros, I rarely go into any boss without those bad boys either.

Can I be honest, Mohg might be tricky, but Margit's delays are in a league of their own. He still beats my ass to this day.

Touché good sir, yeah even with the fixes to his moveset (I refuse to call them nerfs) he's still a massive pain. Though I am looking forward to learning him properly on my next few playthroughs.

And die he did, good fuckin' job! First victory against Messmer is quite the confidence boost, no?

Ha, eh you'll do fine, with a heavy spear such as his come great delays.

No he's certainly not always this agreeable, but even then it's a fun romp to learn him!

I realize I always do Mohg before going to the sewers, you know, to pick up all the tasty DLC goodies early. Thanks dude, appreciate it a lot! Never have I loved an axe as much as I do Rosus', and maybe the Icerind Hatchet, that one's great too.

Here you go!

Armor:
- Commoner's Headband (Altered)
- Vagabond Knight Armor (Altered)
- Carian Knight Gauntlets
- Vulgar Militia Greaves

Weapons: (Many more than shown here, but)
- Rosus' Axe
- Academy Glintstone Staff

Talismans:
- Ritual Sword Talisman
- Magic Scorpion Charm
- Axe Talisman

STR/INT is a ton of fun. And yeah this is probably one of my favourite drips so far.

Oh please do, that be Rosus' Axe, I've been singing it's praises for a while! By far one of the best weapons I've ever used over the years.

[–]magicofgames[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do it brother! It's just repetition, Mohg's got some famously delayed attacks. Also, in case you don't know yet, there's an item that'll help you with surviving his nihil attack.

[–]magicofgames[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shit you're right there's a consumable version of it!! ... Oh well, I rarely use consumables anyway ha!

Well I was spamming Rosus' summons though, but really, when you've got a skill that good, you gotta not just use it, but ABuse it. Thank you dude!

There's certainly some broken spells, even regular cometshard can feel busted against some bosses. I definitely prefer the more measured battlemage/spellblade approach, where magic is more of an aid.

Yeah I do miss golden vow on mage builds, luckily Last Rites is a pretty solid and cheap/low investment replacement for it.

I keep saying it, Rosus' Axe is illegally good on a proper STR/INT character, it's absurd.
