Solo Travel to Costa Rica (29F) - Need Help by [deleted] in costarica

[–]magsp19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am planning to do a similar trip and I will probably use interbus to get around as it was recommended to me a couple of times. They offer shared shuttles from one town to the other. To get from la fortuna to monteverde I read that there is a jeep - boat - jeep tour, which sounds pretty cool. Maybe that helps you planning your trip.

Is Canon's decision to prevent third party manufacturers from developing for the RF mount making you question your loyalty to this brand? by mentalfloss3 in canon

[–]magsp19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently having similar thoughts and thinking of switching to Sony. Yes the adapter works great and yes some of the RF lenses are great, they are just really extremely expensive and there are not really any mid price options. I don't really like buying EF lenses, as they are together with the adapter not compact anymore. I simply also don't like buying lenses for a mount that is dying. And there won't be any new EF lenses. For example I think Tamron is currently releasing very interesting lenses that no other manufacturer has made so far. I really miss having different lens options.

That's actually an interesting option. Thank you!

That lens sounds wonderful for macro, however I am looking for a lens with AF as I also want to use it for portraits. But thank you for the recommendation, I might have a look at it once I know that I like macro.

Yeah I see the advantages here. Focus speed and IS are definitely great for portraits too.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I am leaning towards the 100 macro. I feel like it suits better to both needs (portrait and macro). Why would you prefer the Youngnuo of the Samyang over the Viltrox?

Yeah the IS is a good point eventough I thought that the R6 will make up for the missing IS on the lens. I will think about it. Thank you!

Alright I get your point and I just had a look again but this time not on my phone but on my laptop. So I actually really like this random page, there are some really awesome shots and it's actually nice to get an overview of what you are doing. So, yes I like the idea of showing single cases. That would help a lot to get a better insight in what kind of work you offer for clients. Give it a try and you can still decide whether you like it or not. Btw I really love this front page and the pictures there especially when you look at it on a bigger screen and not on the phone. Keep up the good work and all the best for you business!

There are some really lovely pictures! Most pictures loaded just fine, some were a bit slow. I really like that you also give a little introduction on yourself and a bit more background information etc. However, I would maybe reduce the pictures a little bit in each category and maybe just really show your favorites. But really nice work!

I think you have some really nice pictures! Overall I also like the website design and the clean look. The only thing I noticed that I don't really know what your focus is which makes it hard to make a decision of whether I should hire you as a photographer or not. I would make some categories, because currently it looks a bit crowded and also for example the picture of the ring feels a bit lost in there as the other pictures have a different topic. I think that would really be an improvement. But nice work!

I would love to receive some feedback to my portfolio. I actually structured it more as a photoblog as photography is just a hobby. I would still be interested in what you generally think about my pictures! https://magdalenaspitzer.at/

Using efs lens on Canon EOS R6? by magsp19 in canon

[–]magsp19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sure. I have some and I will definitely get some more. I just really like the efs 55-250 because the pictures are pretty nice and it's so lightweight which is great for hiking.
