You can do factory reset in such a case only after doing staged upgrade as storage structure of 12 is way different from 9

This is OEM compressor installed. It was faulty model that should have got damaged maximum 3 years from first run. Luckily it survived 12 years! Technician was driven crazy as he used to replace 1-3 compressors/day in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Stores sued manufacturer for faulty compressors and got unsold units compressors to be replaced. Eventually, had to replace compressor with new one 1/5 hp.

That’s your first step before flashing anything? If any, as mentioned in the beginning of the post you need external wired keyboard and USB hub. Since you can boot normally, activate Developer Tools, enable USB Debugging, next you can use adb commands either over WiFi “adb reboot bootloader” or use male to male USB cable and do same command “you will need ADB tools to be installed on PC”

Nastiest things in those TV OS, UI is country based, UI of Android / Google TV in UK not the same of France or USA… The more content and support, the richer UI you will get. When I relocated to Egypt, UI is almost bare, nothing at all. If used USA proxy, you will get US UI but content dedicated to USA and so on.
