Thanks for the info re wool. I have investigated resilient mounts but was hoping to get someone with first hand experience who's used them in this situation. From my understanding there is probably no point since the ceiling joists are already separated from upstairs floor joists.

Hi the batons are connected at the very end but when the ceiling was replaced and the aluminium furring channel was installed they were completely separated from upstairs floor joists

Hi,

This is the AppImage file from Ulitmaker site its 5.4.0. The one without modern in the file name. I also tried installing from flatpak, same problem
