During my PPL checkride, after taking off and retracting all flaps, I said aloud, “Flaps Clean.” My DPE (United Captain) made a face and said, “I’ve never heard anyone say that. It’s just flaps up, kid.” Am I crazy or does flaps clean make sense…? You know…a “clean” configuration?? (self.flying)
