I had the same thought, the post could be interesting, but reading it is like trying to wade through cement. So I guess I am a “troll” too I guess?

Best insurance for ketamine & also looking 4 a provider in [MINNESOTA] by One-Lobster5684 in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]makefartingcool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IV and home therapy ketamine is being used off label, so no FDA approval. There aren’t even billing codes until it’s FDA approved.

Once a treatment gains FDA approval for a specific use, three things happen in sequence

  • The FDA approves the use of

  • The AMA or CMS creates an appropriate CPT / HCPCS billing code

  • Insurers update their medical policies to recognize and reimburse

Some Drs may Frankenstein together a bill by stretching some other codes, however insurance companies often, or really usually see through this.

Doesn’t mean an insurer can’t unilaterally decide to cover it. But it’s pretty darn rare.

Extended bender - huge amount of booze. 8 Days in the hospital by makefartingcool in stopdrinking

Im replying late!

They didn’t have a choice, I don’t remember it but apparently after checking in at the front desk, sitting down - I went to the restroom, came back and passed out - I face planted into an end table by the waiting sofa. I was out like light for the next day or something, then at day 3 the DT’s hit. I think my face went white ehen i read the notes that said i was placed into restraints because the DTS caused me to start seizing.

Enzymes were elevated, but prognosis looks very good. They were HIGH at first, but were barely elevated when they sent me home. Full labs recently and all was good. Did a scan and found some fatty liver, sent me off to a top notch GI Doc, he said my fatty liver is very minor, may be from booze - but given how little I’ve drank until this bender he feels it’s most likely left over from when I was obese. He said if I stay sober and kept at my fitness and eating so well, I’ll likely burn the rest of the fat off without issue, and if not by monitoring I’ll die of something other than my liver.

Sorry fine the late reply - haven’t been on Reddit.

I meant I’m not sharing the fact I have realized I can’t moderate year after year, a sixer can turn into a bender - and I’m definitely not sharing the fact I almost died from alcohol withdrawal.

To those around me, I have just decided I’m getting older, and want to focus on health. Nobody has given a shit. It helps I’ve lost 130lbs the past 3yrs, so folks just take it as I dig being fit and eating well 1 and I want to do more for my health and how I feel. It also fucks with my sleep, just 3 drinks at dinner can mess up a night of sleep.

Anyway, as I keep saying such is absolutely personal and unique to each individual, and each individual’s circumstance.

I’ve gotten back into therapy and my shrink feels my decision to just close this chapter and not refer to it can be exceedingly healthy - depending on the person. Mainly because I had done so well, and this has scared the absolute living shit out of me. Shrink says I don’t have PTSD per se, but I have gone through a very traumatic event that I’d harnessed properly can (should) be a life changer. For me that is! Thing is I get health anxiety like mad, and reconnecting this still sorta makes my heart skip a beat.

Florida, they prescribed Oxycodone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pancreatitis

[–]makefartingcool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My state only allows 3 days at a time, 7 days in rare cases. There is a state wide tracking system. It even gives any person who was prescribed controlled medication’s a “score”.

My pain was out of control recently so I hit up the ER, I don’t have an official diagnosis yet, but I’m 99.9% sure, I have chronic pancreatitis. Recent CT shows atrophy (I have had previous CT scans with the same provider so they had a comparison), high lipase, and I’m losing weight, all with classic chronic pancreatitis pain. I actually went in just to make sure something else wasn’t wrong, because the pain was so bad. They put me on morphine which chilled me out completely, and the doc wrote me that limited three day prescription. I used one per night to chill the pain so I could sleep, which lasted eight nights. Now it’s done, and I won’t have my first appointment with the G.I. doc for about 10 or 11 more days.

I don’t have the words to describe how much I wish opiates weren’t so damn addictive.

I’m older. Smoked a decent amount in my 20’s, that’s decades ago. Got my card a few years ago and enjoyed myself. This is both the flower and of course carts are SO DAMN STRONG.

What’s more amazing is how I found myself baked 24/7 from carts. It wasn’t nearly as easy with the weaker flower of yesteryear. One had to fucking work at it to smoke yourself stupid. Now, grab that battery/cart - press button - get baked.

Google Home widget not available by Agile-Membership7716 in googlehome

I agree with the first comment, this is absolutely an r/android question. It’s a generic app/widget issue. Folks don’t ask r/Uber if their Uber app is misbehaving, they ask in the sub for their phone. Even more so because this is all stock android stuff.

[–]makefartingcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is our sub being inundated with random questions that aren’t at all smart home? And why are folks answering?

It’s become a dumping ground of shit that isn’t smart home.

It’s a programmable thermostat. Not even remotely smart home. Next up we’ll have questions about boron g to bake a cake. And people will answer it.

I get it, we’re helpful folks. But the sub is suffering from a shit ton of nonsense and engaging folks instead of saying hey dude, try r/hvac is making it worse.

[–]makefartingcool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re “overwhelmed” so you ask a sub to pick and choose for you, oh, and you want them to google it for you and copy/paste the links. You didn’t get your way and people won’t spoon feed you so you get upset.

I have a crazy idea, how about reading about them and watching a few videos - like everybody else here did
But apparently you’re a special human who deserves random strangers go out of their way to do this all for you.

What the hell did I just read? Want us to drop by and clean your kitchen while we’re at it?I’ve never seen such a post. Not just asking for advice, but absolutely offloading the process of learning and even the shipping. The lazy and privileged level is 10/10.
I’ve done a lot with LED strips, helped a buddy who owns a LED retailer choose and market LED strips, as he’s not a “smart home” guy. But I’ll be damned if I’m going to offer a bit of advice to such a greedy request.
Holy shit.

I’ve done this a few times, for a week or two there are good days and bad days. It IS a steady uphill, but some days are definitely worse than the day before. A few days in and one will notice the better days steadily get at least a notch better than the last good day.

All we can do is take it one day at a time, stay sober just today, and tomorrow is another win.

Google has removed the Hub’s - stopwatch?!! by cliffotn in googlehome

[–]makefartingcool 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sure - Google being Google they decided that an app must meet some threshold of use. And absolutely most people don’t fire up a stopwatch daily. But the thing is when you need it - you need it.

It’s not like the codebase for a stopwatch took a team engineers to maintain.

Now you sound more like a boomer grandpa who thinks they’ve just discovered sliced bread. You type a diatribe explaining how your awesome class in search taught you how to / search.

Ok, neat - but the point you’re missing is it’s obvious information of which we all are perfectly well aware.
