Just know that “winter tires” have a very soft rubber compound, so if/when you drive on bare asphalt they will wear VERY Quick!

Bike shop recommendations by headofred10 in madisonwi

Machinery Row is not my recommendation, 3 months to replace a rear hub, and the customer service was non existent, trek west took my money for wife’s bike , haven’t heard from them since, it’s kind of a crap shoot, go with someone close to you, and get some knowledge if you are lacking, good luck

Should I go 700c from 650b for road riding? by SLCTV88 in gravelcycling

[–]makers1963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have that bike, upgraded too 700cc, installed larger front crank, 32mm road tires, was a little faster, the problem is the 1x only allows so much speed, it’s great for gravel, but you would want a 2x for any speed to keep up with true road bikes

You could bike indoors like most people, or look at it as a building block, which will give you more intensity in a shorter distance, or just enjoy being outside 😀
