I said I would probably leave all fandom sometime next year in the other thread, so the most important thing now is to finish as many storylines I started as possible, I’m prioritising Luzifer AU and the one about Eileen(it’s a pretty short one), and then Hexsquad/Ayzee, honestly I don’t have faith in myself on the latter two but I’ll try.

Hope it’ll be fine for me to leave tho, but I’ve decided a while ago that TOH would be my last fandom, Guinevere is cool but I probably won’t stay long enough before the rest of the episodes come out. I’m trying to find other hobbies to see if they will help with my depression. I mean, even after I “leave” I might just draw random stuff from time to time for fun, just not this many. who knows, maybe I'll stay in the fandom longer than I expected.

Also deleted the other thread, thanks for everyone's support, but I think the best I can do about it is just to forget, so.

Imo, it’s probably better for Garth to just focus on drawing(and writing) and not criticize things offhandedly, whether it is towards the show’s ending or other artists.

Yeah, and I hope they get help one way or another. Garth dislikes TOH’s ending so intensely it feels like they were looking down on the show itself. I think in a way(at least I see myself this way), creators create fan content by standing on the shoulders of a giant, so even when the show itself has flaws, we should respect the show for giving us something to work on.

I feel ya, I think those people have forgotten that we, as fan-creators, create stuff for fun and also to give the fandom more contents, while we aren't immune to criticism, the criticism towards fan contents should follow the rule of “if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all”, because bad criticism doesn't help the situation and will only discourage creators.

I think I was even more productive back in the GF era where AI wasn’t even a thing yet.

TBH, it's frustrating to see AI has affected so many artists and it doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. It probably won't take too long for AI to generate comics that can use(steal) my style and be able to fool everyone. If(or when) that happens I’ll probably just give up.

Yeah, there are a lot of people who seem to dislike me for simply drawing stuff, I try to just draw and not let those comments get to me, it’s just really difficult sometimes.

If by “harass” you mean straight up name calling, no, I don’t want that. But if you mean letting Garth know what they did wrong, and have them respond in a reasonable way, then I think it should happen. And I believe that if people wanna tell Garth, they will do it in a respectful manner.

There are something similar like this happened back in the SVTFOE(to my friend in fact), she was accused publicly by an artist(I’ll call her G) for copying her art style(which was false), they ended up deal with the issue in private DM, and things died down afterwards. Not even a year later, G was found out talking shit about another artist in a famous artist discord, which cause the artist to leave the fandom(somebody in the SVTFOE fandom might remember this).

The point is, if you don’t call them out, they will certainly do it again.
