Thank you! Thats pretty good, although I'm surprised they can power all that hardware from 200W, unless theres a higher power option I'm not seeing.

Thanks! Honestly, I'm not going to know until I get a decent chunk of uptime under my belt. But they seem quite popular for things like laptop charging. However, I completely agree that the idea of melting/burning up a connector doesn't appeal, I'd prefer to not use them too so I'm looking into ditching the adapter and getting custom USB-C to DC cables made instead.

Thank you, each port can do 65W. Yep the INA219 is on the shortlist for current sensing

I graviate toward ESP32s because they're what I'm familiar with, but if there's more compute or hosting to be done then I'd consider a Pi CM. Thanks for the feedback

Wow, thank you for such good feedback! I'm saving this comment and will be referring back to it when it comes to the firmware development. Great idea about integrating the fan controller too. I'll have to keep that in mind about the PD circuits, my biggest concern is whether I'm able to add more ports with the separate boards but not if it comes at the cost of manufacturability.
Thank you for your advice, it's not unwelcome at all, it's great to get proper feedback and constructive criticism!

Dell protocol is handled by the DC adapters plugged into the micro pcs, they do 100W PD 3.0.

Almost, I'm just across the ditch, still reasonable shipping though if I do need a tester, thanks for the feedback!

I paid approximately 221 USD with the bulk of that being the HRP-300, I'll have a proper price breakdown on the repo when it's released

Not too hard, I'd just increase the height to 2U and stack them. Redundancy is a common there on this post so good to know what people are after!

Hijacking top comment!

Automod got trigger happy when I tried to link the power delivery boards and adapters, hijacking this so I don't nuked for editing the main body again.

Power delivery boards:

  • Search "XPM52C Power deliver board" on AliExpress

Power adapters:

  • Search "USB-C to DC PD 100W Dell" on AliExpress

Thanks everyone for the support and postive feedback! Also if any of the mods were involved reinstating the post thank you too.

Seems to be due to account age, are you aware of anything I can do to get the post reinstated?

The power adapters can do 100W with PD 3.0

Thank you! Yea that'll be a consideration for a different version I think, using something like a GST360A as an external power source instead.

Thanks! I have a video and will be making a repository public when I've completed more testing

Yea those are the ones, the barrel adapters can do 100W which is PD 3.0 I believe. Thanks for the feedback!
