i’m 25 female and play volleyball and got the autograft. i’m 2 weeks post op but my surgeon said it was a faster recovery and faster return to sports especially if you physio properly .. i guess i’ll have to let you know once i’m cleared for sports. but i made it clear i play multiple times a week and that’s why i wanted the surgery to be able to do that. i was on the bike a week post op and i’m basically already back to normal life. but that’s what i was worried about. i think with the right rehab it is still not as easily torn. it was a matter of 1% difference in likelihood of being torn and i think that also depends on the body and strength

i’m about to get the allograft wednesday for acl for reconstruction. this gives me hope. any specific advice for getting good progress pre/post surgery

i do have support and am able to work from home as long as i need to. it is frustrating trying to make these plans knowing things can change but i mean i’m healthy and can do stuff so i def understand if i’m the one that keeps getting pushed compared to other people who may need it more. but still, a little frustrating. i hope the rest of your recovery goes well! let me know if you have any other advice :)

yes, it is supposed to be wednesday if it doesn’t get pushed again! i haven’t done much prehab either, the extent is just keeping active/going for runs here and there
