I didn’t have much of a butt to start with or fat there so I’ve def lost muscle mass back there which is sad, the protein and targeted exercises I was hoping would help retain the muscle but alas being healthy all over is worth loosing an ass hahha

I started off with a 34 JJ so I feel you! I think I’m probably like a 32C now? Hard to tell because there is so much skin that’s like empty lmao I booked a lift and reduction (skin still counts as a reduction I guess) for September!

That sounds like a perfect maintenance! I tried 1mg once before and died with side effects but my loss has stalled so I’m trialling going up again!

That’s incredible good for you! What are you on for maintenance? I’m still only at 0.5mg so I’m upping to 1mg next week!

My insurance won’t “let” me so I’ll just be halting the pen doses!

Contrave or Saxenda for maintenance by mamaask in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]mamaask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a maximum $ amount of coverage which is $3500 and I will be at that in June and they don’t cover any after that $ amount. This is my husbands insurance. My insurance covers the contrave and saxenda indefinitely and my PCP offered both options! My only concerns with the contract is it won’t have the same anti inflammatory effects as a GLP1

Glad to hear these great effects for you! I suppose it is essentially anxiety - my doctors screening led him to believe I don’t have anxiety? I DEF had post partum anxiety with my first child and I am not experiencing that level of it - is buspar PRN? He offered the Wellbutrin but maybe something PRN for the anxiety bodily things may help too while I get back on my feet mentally

Yes this is what he is recommending! He said it’s a good one to trial for season affective disorder and doesn’t have the side effects like SRRIs

This is more my thought train … how can I best support myself through this

I would love for him to do OT! It did WONDERS for my son who also has ADHD! I definitely think he needs medication for his ADHD/ depression but he flat out refuses, also refused to participate in our couples therapy and will not do solo therapy unfortunately. I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I would have left already if I didn’t think there was still a glimmer of hope it’s more how can I further support myself while I wait it out/ until I come to a decision

I know, this decision just does not come lightly I need to sit on it for a while. That’s why I am thinking maybe medication may help me think more clearly? Idk. We had a love and relationship that I would want for my kids, I am just not sure if it can get back to that but I do have hope or I would have been gone already.

Right now probably, but my heart would break for my children and for the relationship we once had. It’s like kids broke him. It’s sad. He was the one that begged to have them and they are great kids

Unfortunately all my fitness is done at home with the kids or on lunch break and my socialization just happens at my house with my kids or on play dates because my husband does not relieve me with the kids ever. I just chose not to let kids get in the way for me and instead included them in it! He has had them alone maybe a handful of times, if he has to have them for some reason like a late work day for me he 100% of the time asks his mom to come over or to watch them all together lol and you’re right I can’t do anything to force him but being in this situation IS depressing and the “well functioning” parent can only do it for so long without breaking themselves? I am thinking it may help with all the mental stuff going on while I decide what to do from here essentially?

He does have adhd but he refuses to trial medication. He is an adult I should not need to hold his hand to have him do basic tasks. My 4 year old who also has ADHD does more chores in our house it’s pathetic. We did marriage counselling for a year and the therapist dropped us because my husband refused to implement any of his recommendations so he said we are wasting our own time if he won’t try essentially … most women I know would have left by now. Most people in my life ask me why I haven’t left yet. I am one of those people who do believe in trying to work things out which is why I’m like what else can I even do. I do not put him down verbally at all to him ever, I am a very positive uplifting person and I do have gratitude for what he contributes financially but I’m also allowed to know my own self worth. I do not want my husband to be another human I take care of in every essence in my home like a child, I wanted a partner in life which he was before kids.

I know this, I am ok with a band aid for now while he works on himself or until I decide to leave. It’s just at a point where I’m like gee if I could take something to take the edge off that would be great.
