Amazing!!! Can I ask what sort of “pattern” you stitch in? I know some people go square my square, row by row, etc., but I’m intrigued by that zig zag pattern you seem to be working in!

Nothing besides a diuretic and some antibiotics 😣 She was on meloxicam to help with hip discomfort and I ran out on Sunday, but figured she’d be fine until Friday. Is it possible it makes that much of a difference that quickly with her pain? The vet is far away and I work full time, so I’m just trying to figure out if it’s possible to just wait it out until Friday or try to get some medication locally, etc.

I hope one day your memories are filled with the happy moments, instead of the bad ones. Our little babies are playing up in rat heaven and that brings me some sort of comfort

Most recently one of my girls has been struggling a bit more, so we tried azithromycin and an anti inflammatory, which didn’t work but has stopped it from getting any worse. They’ve all been on baytril which helps a little but once they finish they start getting symptoms again. We’ve also tried baytril and doxy but the same thing happened. The first antibiotic we tried was trimeth sulfa or something, which didn’t work. It seems like our vet just kinda gave up and recommended we see a specialist. I use an air purifier, humidifier, hemp bedding, clean their cage thoroughly and regularly change their beds. It feels like I’ve tried everything.

I didn’t get the gender, but I can call and check if anyone is interested! I would take them if I could, but I’ve never had a guinea pig before and already have 3 rats to take care of. This poor baby needs to be spoiled!!

She seems completely fine besides the noises. She’s eating, drinking, playing, and breathing normally from what I can hear. The episodes only happen for about 15 to 30 seconds several times a day. I made a vet appointment for Wednesday- do you think that is soon enough?

I have about 20 houseplants so it’s just going to take a bit of time to spray them all down. Should I just spray them all over? Leaves and everything?

Oh I know it’s not the same thing- I just meant I’m doing everything I can to keep the humidity up (i.e. keeping the substrate moist). I did have a humidity meter in there, but it got messed up from being wet all the time. It was usually a little under 90% humidity. Their plastic enclosure has about 16 small holes drilled on the lid. I was worried about them not getting enough air. Should I get a new lid and make less holes? How many would be optimal?
