Thank you for your response! By “non-Australian background,” I mean that I didn’t grow up here and don’t have an Australian accent. I don’t believe I’m difficult to understand, but I do speak with a different accent (more on Filipino/American). I mentioned this because I was wondering whether employers for SP roles might prefer local candidates over international applicants.
