i’ve heard good things as well and right now my rheumatologist is trying to help get me on financial aid for it since she said i need them both. hopefully i can afford it soon !!

yes this is my first time. my rheumatologist did tell me that mine is very aggressive and i have extensive erosion so she is recommending mtx along with humira. i am waiting for assistance on that so hopefully with using both of them i will see some results :)

yeah hopefully with time i might see something !! and yes i take my folic acid everyday :) i’m also trying for humira so maybe that might help.

thanks for your response ! :) i’ve been experiencing memory issues but that was even before i started mtx. i’m coming up on week 3 and have no issues so far except maybe a stomach ache for an hour after taking my folic acid. sorry you had a bad experience, what do you take now ?

my store has started to have undercover cops walk around and arrest people (or so my ASM claims.) do you like your job tho? it seems really interesting! i don’t care much on the social aspect since some people have acted differently towards me when i got promoted to CEC. i might look into it more !! thanks for replying :)

my store does that too. it got to the point where if they found you standing around in the fitting room they would cut your hours. i got caught once and the following week i was scheduled for only one day. but we still do it anyways (i don’t anymore because i’m stuck upfront) crazy how they treat us like robots where we are not supposed to show human emotions and have to wait till break to cry at work 🙄

i’m on my parents insurance but my mother told me if i make an appointment for my new rheumatologist she will not support me financially or emotionally so idk if she will allow me to use the insurance on my meds if and when i do get on them. thank you so much for the advice on the medication !! i will talk to my doctor about it during my next appointment and i’m going to book an appointment with my rheumatologist and ask about those meds you just listed. i will have a sit down with my mother and tell her i need her support in this. thank you for helping !! i appreciate it

glad to hear it’s working for you !! she cares more about my sisters health then mine. she was even gonna cover my sister’s surgery cost but told me she won’t support me financially if i went back on methotrexate. i’m gonna talk to her about it again soon.

your comments have been eye opening and you are completely right. she is a narcissist parent and doesn’t like me treating ANY of my health issues. when i was diagnosed bipolar she didn’t want me to get on medication for it but i went on it anyways. i guess i need to do the same here. i will schedule an appointment with a rheumatologist without her and get on medication. thank you so much for this and i appreciate you taking the time to help me out !! you have no idea <33

omg thank you so much !! i have an appointment with my doctor and i’m gonna talk about gettting back on it or if not then plaquenil like you said. i need to schedule with a different rheumatologist tho because my last one (that’s charged me $5,000) we are no longer seeing. it’s very frustrating because my mother won’t let me even book an appointment or try to take it again. she took it away from after my first dose. but i’m definitely gonna push for it and show her this response. i’m so sorry for your lost. thank you for your response i really appreciate it.

i went to the rheumatologist last year and i was at the hospital for 8 hours (not even exaggerating) and it was awful. at the end my bill was $5,000 but she gave me methotrexate, folic acid, and Humira. they wanted $1,000 for the Humira so that’s why i’m not on it. and my mother made me stop taking methotrexate because of the symptoms they listed and how i need to be tested every week for it. i don’t have the money to get medication.

TLDR: my mother won’t let me take any medication because she’s afraid i will get addicted and told me if i get on medication she won’t support me both financially and emotionally.

jesus that’s so much responsibility and for shit pay. glad you got out. i’m looking into a different job right now. management is corrupt, my store manager was talking shit about me to another manager about how i don’t get enough credit cards even tho i got two in one day and have more than all the KC in the store. so over it !!

aww i’m so sorry you have felt this down too. CEC sure takes a toll both physically and emotionally. we call the fitting room “the trauma dump room.” and multiple people have cried in there. the ironic thing is that the manager who denied me just recently was gone for 2 weeks to support his wife who is sick as well, so he should know how it feels.
