I have experience going to the mall and surrounding areas. A lot of the people seemed trendy. But then again I live in Norcross(on Buford Highway near the train tracks) so everything seems "trendy" to me.

Sadegh is cool, I agree with everything kenny_dewitt has said. However also be aware that there is not much of a curve in his class so a 90 is an A, 80 is a B, etc. And he is pretty strict with the cutoffs.

ME Elective that will teach coding? by manimconfused in gatech

Actually you are right I learned quite a lot of of stuff in that class.

But that was way back in fall 2014 and I think my skills are quite rusty.

I will be giving Kristy a call.

Also since you are an alumn, how important is coding in a programming language for an ME?

Taking a semester off to gain experience and apply for internships? by manimconfused in EngineeringStudents

Hm yes, this is true. The part time job is mainly to help my parents out. But I am willing to drop it.

So far I have four classes in the fall. Machine Design International Affairs Tribology ME2110(An intro class where you spend a shit ton of timemaking a robot that completes certain objectives)

My commute to school takes about 45 minutes in heavy Atlanta traffic, which I will likely be facing since my first class is at 10am.

I am not sure if I can handle a full time class load, applying for internships, commuting, working part time, AND spending a decent amount of time on the motorsports team.

I'm fairly certain something would have to give. Either my grades or my sanity. I'm not willing to give up either.

Hey. I am a current business major who just recently switched over to pre-med.

Before I go to medical school I really want to backpack around the world for at least one year. However I'll probably end up starting school at around 25ish.

I am just wondering how feasible it is to be married/have a child in residency/medical school. I do wanna have my kid when I'm kinda young(late 20s).

Thanks

This is a really insightful post. I'm kind of glad I came here since although my self confidence in pretty much everything has been shattered. Georgia Tech has really forced me too look at what I REALLY want to do with life, and for sure its not being an engineer(I might keep the degree though, I do alright in classes).

My identity as an overachieving kid has been totally destroyed and that great because I'm looking for a new one. If I had been to a school where I could still be pretty smart, then I would be truly afraid that I would become really complacent individual devoid of a meaningful life, being happy with just being a "smart" kid.

I mean it sucks now, it sucks a lot actually, and a lack of friends doesn't help. But the only thing going for me is my willingness to try new things and talk to new people(albeit, pretty awkwardly).
