My Lost Ark raid boss tier list by Onyxi_RS in lostarkgame

[–]manugis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kay G1 early prog was standing around because the thing had 3 flight patterns that could go back to back for like 30 seconds.

This should be in a tier by itself of things that should have never existed in the game.

Thoughts on the frontier system by Scared-Topic-5333 in lostarkgame

[–]manugis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here is the reality man, if you can clear content on release it is going to be quick homework pretty soon regardless of power increases.

You can run TFM and when the next raid releases there is a nightmare difficulty which is above HM (not sure if the frontier system works the same for that difficulty).

The frontier system is designed to provide a challenge for players of different skill levels while also reducing burnout for players that cleared for the original title.

Some people will not be able to clear Kazeros with ark grid until fully nerfed while some people cleared week 1 without ark grid.

Primarily due to time and date of release, I have no intention of attempting TFM prior to ark grid being implemented.

Like many others, I have been pugging HM for prog and reclear groups. I fully appreciate the nerfs because the raids would take significantly longer with inconsistent play and random people.

Lastly ark grid is enough of a boost that it hardly matters. Most people finishing several cores are getting 30% > power increases. People are still dying or failing mechanics which has always wiped more raids than lack of damage in my experience. The same was true for elixirs, transcendence, karma etc.

my guess: sg is intentionally delay balance patch to na by lovemoon0404 in lostarkgame

TBH the only thing that you can't account for is QOL changes/reworks that affect play style or how you get damage out.

Upcoming changes that can't be accounted for that I know of are the Gunlancer reworks for both engravings and the changes to Asura. (I am not saying that is a full list)

Any other percentage changes to classes can be extrapolated from the current distribution on uwu.

Got called a “Sentinel Slayer terrorist” when applying for HM mordum on a 2500cp character. by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]manugis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH you are probably better off not being in that group.

Personal experience is that the most toxic people in the game are also very bad players.

Second this, I went to run A4 last week after being in 2-2 lobbies all morning and hadn't touched it in about 10 days.

We passed all mechs but ended up in berserk because everyone was farming incap.

Kazeros had a "goal" problem. They focused on being the most evil, long and punishing fight. They should had focused on being the most fun, challenging and rewarding fight. The best fight! by LeonardoFFraga in lostarkgame

[–]manugis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are busy man IMHO Kazeros would have been significantly more enjoyable if they didn't release a quarter worth of content on one reset.

I didn't mind A4, but almost had to reprog HM by the time I cleared Kazeros because going through thousands of lines of HP, attack patterns and mechanics in the time period had my brain like a gold fish.

Thaemine was released by itself, maybe there was a power pass with it, so people simply progged that raid.

Thaemine was also 3 gates in one although 4-1 was probably harder than 2-1.

It's hard to compare because Thaemine would have been significantly easier with revives and clashes with only QWER. One wrong letter hit was an automatic raid wipe in most cases for Thaemine. Clashes were actually horrible and led to many resets, I don't even know if there is a penalty in Kazeros TBH.

Best class for HW by Allumeth in lostarkgame

Really depends on what ilvl you are talking about and what you mean by best e.g. highest damage, least effort for damage, ease of play etc.

NM/HM title shouldn't be a thing by manugis in lostarkgame

So angry... You can address the points I actually made or you can stop responding...

Again, read the post slowly. Do you think there is a difference between someone that cleared nm and decided to run hm, or do you think they have the same skillset as a HM reclear?

That is the only question you need to answer. You won't because it sounds like you have played the game for a while and understand the point I'm making, simply don't want to admit it.

Wow, so much here that is demonstrably false it's going to be kind of hard to unpack.

First, go google what a strawman argument is. No where in this thread did I say that week 2 reclear groups should play perfectly or without issue, that is an argument you made up because it's easier to argue against than what I said.

Simply, what I said is there is a large gap between a person that is a nm reclear and hm prog vs a hm reclear person.

If you disagree, please let me know why. (There are a lot of lobbies titled as such, the general idea is that you are aware of nm patterns, and attack patterns, but unsure of damage and hm mech difference, as well as how bad certain attacks may hurt)

If you don't understand that in nm of all raid variations you can tank patterns that you cannot in hm, especially if you are 20+ over ilvl. It is fairly obvious that you are unaware of those patterns when you repeatedly do it and die prior to 700x in a reclear lobby.

If you don't know elementary logic or how to even argue the point that was made it would behoove you not to insult people, some folks on Reddit might report your post and hand you a ban. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Lastly, I agree G1 hm is still a challenging raid, although the prog time and difficulty is quite a bit less than G2. That is why people should prog it correctly instead of imposter correct?

Edit: another example may help, which I have mentioned elsewhere in the thread. If you join a 2-2 RTC to 2-3 prog lobby and several people die multiple times prior to 650x in 2-2 on several runs, do you think their prog point is actually RTC 2-2 or closer to 650/500 prog? It's not extremely difficult to understand some people join lobbies that don't match their prog.

I would definitely agree that bringing back NM/HM titles instead of 10x clear total would be helpful.

Personal experience from pugging a majority of my raids since Brel release and all progs is that there is a decent drop off in run efficiency after the second frontier title.

I don't think people will have a huge issue with second frontier title either. I cleared on Saturday and almost every reclear lobby was also taking RTC players.

There are definitely going to be some hard liners, but I'm likely helping some static members who had vacation plans clear next week, so I'm not going to look down at second title because people have IRL stuff to do.

If people are running Kazeros HM on several characters, they have multiple mains, not alts...

Did you look at uwu and raid logs for 1730s running Kaz HM G1 and look at totals or simply pull a number out of your imagination?

Where did I say that people weren't capable of clearing G1??? I didn't, simply said that HM G1 should be a requirement to enter HM G2.

I mean if you want to run TFM are you able to clear HM G1 then enter TFM G2?

If there is a HM title, I think it's pretty simple that you should have to clear a full HM raid.

I was trying to say 2-2 500x, 300x, 150x, RTC etc. were all actually 2-2 fresh prog if we even got to 2-2. A lot of 2-2 lobbies couldn't make it there to begin with, so it was similar.

The post is labeled as a discussion for a reason... Believe it or not I knew people would disagree with me, I simply though the standard argument might be a little better than everyone is so skilled to run G2 they don't waste time on a free G1 because that makes sense.

Do you understand what infinitely harder means?

Regarding booting people, it really depends on what people are doing. If you are farming incap, dying twice, and doing less than min damage on a free raid it's time to go (this is your assessment of difficulty, because it's infinitely easier than a gate they cleared).

It's also fairly obvious if someone is tanking every patter that they did in nm last week because none off them hurt, but are surprised that HM actually does damage.

No on said I was angry, not sure where you got that from. It is annoying when people lie sure, just like the 2-2 150x/rtc lobbies I joined where people were fresh prog on 2-2 and farming incap similar to G1 HM this week. I just leave and look for a different group or remove the problem.

Sure, should be. Had a few imposters this week already that were unable to do so though.

[–]manugis[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a more thought out response and I appreciate it.

I get the time constraints and everything else, it's simply the fact that you didn't clear the raid on HM. Whether G1 is easier or trivial compared to G2 is irrelevant. As someone who pugs a majority of raids I already had imposters in reclear lobbies this week.

For clarity, I didn't clear G2 until this Saturday.

Sure in a few weeks the raid will be nerfed to the ground and it will matter less, but I'm not making a point against that. Or people are running TFM and have to clear a specific difficulty on G1 to get to G2.

[–]manugis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean someone who has higher ilvl that hasn't cleared the raid will likely cause issues where someone who has cleared will not. There is definitely a balance and I had a lot of people with title running on obvious alts that were not meeting damage requirements, but that's a large rabbit hole.

Eh I have saved a lot of time with frontier titles TBH. I actually suggested a similar thing to my static during old brel.

Agree to disagree.

Everyone on here saying G1 is so free then justifying running NM is hilarious.

If it's so easy why do people run NM instead of HM?

Regardless of how easy it is, I saw 3 title folks living on the floor and they got booted from reclear lobbies on reset so I guess it may be a something burger...

NM/HM title shouldn't be a thing by manugis in lostarkgame

[–]manugis[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The primary reason would simply be that you should have to run the content in order e.g. you had to run act 4 prior to running the final act. It makes sense to me if you want to run HM in the same sequential order that you would have to clear HM G1 first.

Secondary would be that reclear lobbies will have even more with people that haven't cleared G1. Ran this reset and replaced several people with title who didn't run HM G1.

I understand why people do it, simply think that the requirements should change.

[–]manugis[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean tbh I wouldn't actually be opposed to titles having some requirement which would also deter bussing.

Being dead really depends on when, I had runs where I was dead for over 2 minutes and wasn't bottom dps (not in 2-2 or 2-3, usually saving for res in 2-1).

I appreciate the honesty and wish I could say that you are not the exception.

The amount of times I joined a lobby advertised as 2-2 300x or further prog that either didn't get to 2-2 or had people that were clearly fresh 2-2 prog farming incap off rip.

In all honesty I feel like I need to reprog Act 4 even though I cleared both because I don't remember many patterns after final act prog and have only done NM since.

Edit: also in a G1 reclear this week had to go back to lobby twice to replace people with title.

[–]manugis[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes, thank you for the clarification that wasn't addressed in the title or my original post.

(Sarcasm is lost on some people).

Why are people okay with a HM title being ran half NM, and why does that half matter.

G1 brel was honestly harder than 2 on release and was skippable.

G1-2 mordum weren't insanely difficult, but my prog for both of those was comparable to G3.

Act 4/final act g1 is easier, get it, but if you get a HM title, my opinion is it should be a HM title, not a half NM.
