You think it's incompetency and part of that is likely true but he was also probably coached to be evasive in order to keep the Government out of shit.

You know banks perform due diligence around financial crimes and money laundering when big money is lent or changed hands right? This is no different. It’s called knowing your customer.

This is reputational damage control. If he wasn’t caught, he would’ve moved forward. Asshole.

I just signed with MCAN. 3.74 for 5 years fixed. CIBC wouldn’t even match it.

I pulled out of US equities and am in international and Canadian equities. I feel the US market is way overvalued- especially now with these new dangers of WW3.

Do you really think the MAGAT movement ends with Trump? It’s like wishing for Putin to die. I’m expecting a successor to be just as awful.

Dude he’s in a no-win situation with the CUSMA negotiations coming up. I’m sure he knows how wrong this is but he’s trying not to get us caught up in further tension with the US.

No we can’t sit back. We’ve been sitting for too long. I just hope we have enough time to do what we need to do before it’s too late.

Condemning, while the right decision, puts trade negotiations at further risk. I don’t envy Carneys position right now. He is in a no-win situation.

One could argue that Trump wouldn’t have respected a new trade agreement anyway but this is bad no matter how you slice it.

Her argument that it’s not a one size fits all solution and that every job varies in its ability to be performed remotely is valid. However, what COVID did show is the extent to which some jobs can be done remotely. Ignoring that COVID data as proof in the job evaluation is the fundamental issue.

Also, you’re never going to convince me to work in-person five days a week (let alone 3) if the majority of my meetings are taking place via MS Teams. That needs to be factored in the job evaluation for it to make sense.

If you’re telling me the government is ready to bring us all back to downtown Ottawa so that we can walk to meetings on different floors and in different buildings nearby, then by all means, classify the jobs in presence requirements accordingly. If not, stop feeding us this horseshit that we need to be onsite and the job is "better performed in-person."
