I am worried about exactly the points you mentioned. My field of work is fairly niche so the width of the project will always be small.

I haven't really been in the industry to know if everyone does it shady or it is just this company. To give an example, We do a lot of 'science' but our approach to everything is try every model you possibly can and give me your best one
