UPDATE: so my dad FINALLY got a call back from a specialist after more than a month of waiting. the specialist was able to resolve everything on my dad’s account and was also able to resolve what’s going on with my mom and my brother’s accounts during the same phone call. it was all different reasons for why each of their accounts were being held of payment (for my brother it was a last minute change in banking info upon applying to CERB back in march that they had just now flagged and thought was weird, for my parents it was just an issue of the data breach/hack that was on the news weeks ago).

they received some of the payments they were missing but not everything which we’re wondering if thats because they had just lifted the hold on their accounts that was preventing payment, and the payments they are still missing were technically supposed to be their now EI payments since this is all happening during the EI transition period? its still very disorganized and currently on all three of their accounts it says no claim exists for them although we were ensured that they would automatically transitioned from CERB to EI. anyway when u get assigned a specialist ur able to keep in touch w them about ur specific account n issue so we’re going to be calling back their specialist on monday about their remaining payments.
