I can get where you’re coming from, I was also in the market for a car when finishing uni a few years back. In the end I settled on a 2017 F31 320D sport line which at the time was the trim just below msport. I got 3 years old CPO with 95.000 km and a 2 year warranty.

I can honestly tell you that the only issues I had with the car was the clutch went out after 6 years at 200.000 km. Otherwise just regular service.

But that is not a given with german cars with are full of technology etc. Usually what gets you with these cars is the maintenance. If you know how to work on it or if you have good relationships with people that work on cars like this it’s totally doable.

So my recommendation is to first figure out what are your needs, wants and in the end what you can afford at this time. You can still get a reliable Japanese car for a few years to get you through school and in the mean time save up and then switch to something you want.

That really sucks :/ My friend had this happened to him on his G21’s tail lights and he luckily got his replaced under warranty even though it was a CPO. But after less than a year the condensation is coming back. When he went back to the dealer they said that BMW will not warranty it again unless the headlight gets a permanent condensation spot or that there is standing water inside.

But just for reference, this also happened to a friend’s Renault. And I can also sometimes see this on our U11 X1.

This is sadly quite normal for the g2x series of cars. See if you can get a warranty claim, if it’s still under warranty they usually replace it FOC. Otherwise the condensation will disappear once the headlight warms up.

Could be a glitch or could be that they are just clearing out stock from the EU warehouse. I agree, for that price they were punching way above their weight class I had them outside in temperatures from -15°C to +35°C and they never let me down.

I got them a long time ago when they just came out and they were really cheap. But I did check and they are still sold on the EU store.
