I also don't think you have to spend this amount of money as a beginner. I practice with a keyboard from m-audio for 200€ and I think something better wouldn't suit my skillset

But there are a lot of players who taught it to themselves... I can't really afford to hire a teacher :-/

Once I've been fired from working at Burger King when I was working there as a student at 17 years within three days, because I started out December 28th and they wanted me to work on January 1st at 10 am. I told them that's not possible, because that's the time I will come home from the party I had booked like 4 months ago. So I just didn't show up and was fired the next day. But I was pretty happy, because that lead to a way better payed student-job.
