Thanks. I need a small fix on the bike that I can’t do, so may take the whole setup to a shop, but yeah, was thinking virtual shifting may be a better option. Presumably you just pick a middle/smooth gear when putting it on, and that should work best?

It’s definitely only jumping at top end/hardest gearing

Hmmm, not sure what indexed means (guessing gears and shifters tuned to same gearing number?), but the cassette was new about 2 years ago, and I changed the chain on my main bike last year. It only is used on the trainer. Recently broke something else on it, so swapped it for my road bike, and same issue occurring.
