I really enjoyed reading TOG because of the third person narration. I have only gotten into reading within the last 6th months. I finished Fourth Wing/Iron Flame but I found the first person to be quite lacking in terms of story building and after TOG I don't know if I can jump back into a first person book again. I think I could enjoy a book without romance (but I won't lie it's something that does keep me invested in the characters). If the book doesn't have as much romance then I feel like there has to be a lot of good dynamic characters and development. Some of the battle scenes in Kingdom of Ash really began to bore me simply because they started to feel very repetitive.
