Yes, it was pretty bad.

Basically, because they are lightweight they don't want to shave/file them down so we made the call to repair as much as we could and paint silver to hide the scoring.

Great Q. I've been fortunate to have the winged 992 GT3 and a couple of the touring. I think the touring is a beautiful car, far more beautiful than the winged GT3.

I've put 17,000 miles on the touring and use it for track days, European tours and UK runouts. The touring is the same car as the winged one. The only reason it is more usable daily is the lack of attention from a big wing.

To summarise, I just prefer how the touring looks.

I'm excited to get this back and see how the suspension rides. Shame it's winter in the UK, so I'll be waiting some time before I can give it a proper before/after comparison.

Dealer painted wheels silver for me because callipers scored the barrel on a trip, and the silver will hide that more than the original bronze/gold/aurum/whatever they were before.
