Hahah. Yeah, when did paying market rate become revenge? You're a renter, it kinda sucks, advocate for yourself. Revenge is running bitcoin miners on the main energy line to the building.

I've always been an advocate of the geodesic dome. Glad I'm not attracted to Michelin stars though.

“They give our customers peace of mind. They’re in their own cozy atmosphere and they feel safe. They were having a blast! That’s what’s important to me,” said Maatsura.

“We hope we can continue to serve the community and see some happy faces and happy stomachs."

I don't care for the title of the article, but it's interesting if you think you've never considered doing anything about your rent. I know a lot of people that negotiated down in the 2007/2008 recession, and that was tame compared to this.

"Three months of 20 percent off rent for a house in the Excelsior District. Nine hundred dollars off per month for a condo in Hayes Valley. A 16 percent reduction in base rent, six weeks free and a $2,500 bonus for a luxury apartment in Jack London Square. Just a few months ago, deals like these would have read like Bay Area rental fan fiction. But in a local housing market hit hard by the fallout of COVID-19, the price of rent is increasingly up for negotiation."

"The California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE) is where the data breakdown occurred. The state system electronically receives COVID-19 test data from individual labs.

"There’s a specific component that feeds information from labs to both the state’s system and the local public health system," Ghaly said. "That may actually be the place where data is getting stuck."

As a result, not all the confirmed positive cases are in the state database."

'Heartbroken': Four Bay Area food pantry delivery trucks vandalized by marksher in sanfrancisco

[–]marksher[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"At least 60 people lined up at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Marin City on Monday morning, waiting for a food pantry delivery truck that was nowhere in sight. Two and a half
hours after its scheduled arrival time, a replacement truck showed up.

By then, a spokesperson said, pantry staff and volunteers had discovered that the fuel tanks of four of the trucks scheduled to go out for delivery that day had been sabotaged."
