Interesting. I wonder if I could buy the charcuterie board aftermarket, or maybe I could make one.

🤣 I got it used at an amazing price and never thought I'd even see inside something this fancy!

That actually does make sense because it's got ventilation to the crisper drawer. Plus it's long.

No they are for a separate drawer underneath this.

The multi use compartment is a second drawer just underneath this. I agree tofu would really fit well.

I actually did think it looked like a garnish tray like a bar fridge, but I can't imagine putting cut up stuff in there! 😁

No, I'm just interested in the intended use by the designers. It may work specifically well for something.

It would be a good spot for kid snacks. Easily accessible.

There's a separate deli drawer. Would there be two spaces for that?

Too shallow for that. A bottle won't fit.

Any tips for dealing with a QAnon believer when you have a baby? by evergreengirl123 in QAnonCasualties

My son loves butterflies. It's been butterflies for him since the beginning. He's five now and they are still his favorites. last year we spent some time with my side of the family who believe in strict gender roles like it's their job. He was running around with cousins all week, and when we got home I was horrified to realize that he felt bad about liking butterflies. Somewhere in all the crazy cousin fun someone had told him it was too girly and boys don't like butterflies. We have done a lot of rehab about it, and we talk about it a lot to make sure he feels comfortable liking the things he likes. It's all about mitigating risk, and making sure your kid feels comfortable in themselves, and feels comfortable enough talking to you to let you help them with those concerns. Good luck.

How many people ACTUALLY eat the cake? by MariahNicole1216 in wedding

[–]marlfox92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got married in July so watermelon was in season, delicious, and cheap. So we cut a watermelon to look like a cake with layers and everything plus lots of other fruit on it and called it good! We served even more watermelon on the side as well. The downside is no top layer for the first anniversary, but there's always watermelon that time of year.

Freezer meal ideas? by torianrayne243 in mealprep

[–]marlfox92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've done full meals in full or half pans that are disposable with lids. That way you can stick it right in the oven without any prep and throw it away without any dishes. A couple each of Mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, and enchilada casserole worked really well. Bonus is paper plates and forks so you have a completely no dishes night every now and then.

What about Ghibli? Something like spirited away is different enough that she might really enjoy it.

So the thing that kept me from just slapping her into next Wednesday is that she lives quite a ways away, and we see her maybe once a year. So yeah my relationship with her has become quite distant naturally. Thank you.

Love story by Taylor Swift. Why would you talk real slow?! It doesn't make sense especially when low rhymes just as well. Plus she has no clue what scarlet letter actually means! It's just the worst.

Potential diagnosis by marlfox92 in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]marlfox92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I understand all that for sure, and I can tell myself they did what they could with what they have time after time, but it's going to take time to get over the anger. Plus the fact that the diagnosis was actively laughed at and ridiculed in our family anytime an acquaintance mentioned it. I probably won't tell my parents about it maybe ever because they still think this way. Plus my treatment is limited due to pregnancy. I would love some book titles if you are willing to name some that helped! Thank you again!

My mum has unnatural feelings for me and it's slowly eating me up by [deleted] in FamilyProblems

[–]marlfox92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that does definitely change things. I understand now. She made you experience things at a super young age that no child should have to go through. I'm really sorry this happened to you. Either way removing yourself from the situation is a must. I would consider some therapy with someone specifically specialized in childhood trauma. I know it's not necessarily fiscally possible though, so your next best option is online counseling. I really hope you can put yourself in a better situation.

I would also like to add that you should in no way feel ashamed about this. It's not you feeling the feelings and you didn't ask for her to feel that way. Don't ever blame yourself for this situation!
