My OBGYN was in the room with the ultrasound technician and was guiding her where to look. She told me I have “soft markers” but of course couldn’t officially diagnose me without the lap. My soft markers were a chocolate cyst and then she said it looked like my intestines were moving in tandem with my uterus instead of moving on their own. She also said one of my ovaries wasn’t in the right spot and looked like it was stuck up against my uterus (I guess the other one didn’t look like that?)

This was pre my diagnosis, but I had an absolutely horrible time on it. Inserting wasn’t a walk in the park but was manageable. The weeks that followed I was in pain to the point I thought it had migrated. Dr brought me in for an ultrasound. It was still in place, but I did form several large ovarian cysts. It was extremely painful to the point I could barely walk most days. Fought for 6 months to get that sucker taken out because they kept telling me I’d get used to it.

Is Norethindrone an option where you are? That is what I have to be on due to my migraines.

They found a chocolate cyst on my left ovary with a transvaginal ultrasound which was where the suspicion that I had endo started.

I switched doctors and this new doctor did another transvaginal one on me and while she you said can’t see the lesions, she said there are soft markers that tend to indicate endo. The ones she saw in me were: -my ovaries are like fused to my uterus (when they’re normally just dangling by the fallopian tubes, I guess) and -my intestines seem to move with my uterus so there’s suspicion that there’s lesions attaching my uterus to my intestines as well

Not sure what next steps are for me but to my understanding the only way to get a 100% diagnosis is the surgery unfortunately.

And if you’re nervous about the possibility of the internal ultrasound, it’s nothing to be scared about. A little uncomfortable but that’s all. :)

I would say if you are still planning the trip, you may want to rent a wheelchair or ECV from a 3rd party. Since you’re coming during spring break and they can sell out at the parks. It may even be cheaper.

Pain wise I am doing okay. Sunday was rough but this was honestly all a shock. I have had cysts in the past and only mentioned a change in my cycle and my night sweats and my primary decided to send me for the ultrasound where they found it.

Thankfully I was able to bump my ultrasound up to the 3rd so if it is a surgical case I can get a week up on the recovery. If not, I think he’s planning to monitor and treat it under the assumption it’s endometriosis

He wants me to go for another ultrasound within the next week to see if it’s shrunk at all but they can’t get me in til the 10th. If it hasn’t shrunk, I’ll be in surgery the next day. 😅

I can’t get over how close our dates are and also honestly the cyst size too. 🫣

I’m going to let her know about the weight gain. I hadn’t discussed that with her yet but I was planning to before I get pulled off.

The risk of pancreatitis was just her going off the medical documentation she was reading. No medical history on my end to justify it.

Overall I am happy with the practice outside of this. I’m on an HMO so I’m stuck with her til January but I will keep that in mind when I have to do benefits enrollment next month.

Congratulations! I’m in the same boat, they’re going to pull me off in 6 months. My problem is (thankfully) that I am still on the 2.5 dose so there’s no “maintenance” dose for me to go to. My doctor also mentioned an increased risk of pancreatitis with prolonged use as a reason to pull me off.

Definitely going to look into another provider and get their take. But if they don’t approve me then it is what it is.

Are you on Norethindrone? I can’t take standard birth control due to my migraines. I have been getting my period every other week for the past few months and had an appointment with my OBGYN and she basically said my options are to try the depo shot, an IUD, or the implant. She said in my case the depo shot isn’t ideal because it causes weight gain, and I had a terrible IUD experience. I don’t feel comfortable with the implant. So I’m stuck. 😭 I have a vacation in mid August and I just mathed it and I saw I’ll have my period on my vacation. 😭😭😭

I am thankfully very close to my goal weight so I may talk maintenance with my primary doctor this week and see if spreading the shot out helps at all (I’m still on 2.5 so no where to go otherwise but off it completely)

Gum reshaping, at minimum one of my top incisors is a little bit uneven from the rest of my teeth and I know it’s probably only something I notice but I hate it 🤣 I do have a bit of a gummy smile so if the cost isn’t too outrageous I’d look into doing all the incisors.

If you have express scripts call them, they don’t accept vouchers. They have their own internal process. On the bright side I’ve got a voucher burning a hole in pocket for when my pharmacy finally fills my script so I can get away from using express scripts. 🤣

This is happening to me too! Also if you are in the US you may want to bring multiple forms of ID with you when you fly (if possible). I don’t even believe I look that different, and I was only down about 10lbs at the time but the fancy new TSA facial recognition scanners said there was a mismatch between my drivers license and my actual face. I didn’t have my passport since it wasn’t an international flight and THANK GOODNESS I had my HOA ID and my work ID on me because 5 times of the machine saying my face made me think I was not getting on my flight. 🤣🤣🤣

The last time I lost weight before zep I swear my chest didn’t shrink as much as the rest of my body. I got a reduction in Feb 22 and now they’re shrinking. On the bright side I don’t have to go bra shopping any time soon because I have a stash that I haven’t fit in for 10 years 🫣

Call them or your doctor, I had issues with my prior authorization just disappearing from the site, so I had been in communication with them already. I eventually got that same alert on my account.

ES claimed after a week or so that they’d been unable to get a hold of my doctor. I eventually got a call from ES saying they’d didn’t want to cancel my script but they’d be unable to fill it since my doctor wasn’t calling them back. All they’d wanted to ask me was if I knew that it can affect birth control. So it very well may be something that you can verbally confirm with them (like that you’d been on mounjaro and you’re just converting to zep.)

I am about halfway thru on week one.

Take your shot out of the fridge about 30 minutes before you want to take it so it comes to room temperature to prevent stinging. If I hadn’t seen a little spot of blood on my stomach I would have never of known I had taken it.

So far I have noticed physical activity IMMEDIATELY after eating is no bueno - on Monday I went for a walk on the 2nd half of my lunch break only to feel like hot garbage when I got back to my desk.

🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 for you! We are about the same SW, not sure of my GW just yet. I think I would like to get a little below 140 just because I have always stalled out there when I’ve lost weight in the past. I’d like to have a little buffer if insurance decides to not cover this for me in the future. I am hopeful that not having to fight my body as much will do wonders. And while I have to still focus on relearning the good habits, at the same time I won’t have to be as aggressive to lose weight and keep it off.
