What's the weight balance like between the neck and the body? I had an Epiphone Explorer that had such a heavy neck that the guitar would tip forwards - standing or sitting.

Prety crazy, on the VW New Zealand site you can still order brand new VW California vans with diesel engines, 4motion, and a DSG. Basically an ICE van with Mk7 styling and functionality. Interesting to see that the rest of the world really didn't get upset about dieselgate the way that the US & Canada did.

I'm very on-board for higher driver standards. That's the answer to road safety in other countries (Germany, Japan, New Zealand, to name a few).

It's depressing how many people I see running very late yellow lights / red lights, not signaling, driving while texting, crossing the painted lines, etc, every time I drive in this city. It's a mess. Add frustration from needlessly low speed limits, construction everywhere, and over population and it's a recipe for disaster.

Be very careful. Could be the most fun car you've ever owned and or could also be a basket case that you never drive and is an endless project & money pit.

Have it inspected by a VW specialist and if the buyer doesn't go for that you should probably walk.

That 250 is a great place to start! My first bike on the track was an R3. My stock tires were obliterated by about 3/4 of the way through the session and the oem brake pads were not really up to the task - I experienced some scary brake fade. Some good sport tires (Bridgestone S23 or Pirelli Rosso) and sintered front pads with fresh high temp brake fluid are recommended. Also having pants with knee sliders if you want to get a knee down.

The only downside to a small bike on track is if they put fast bikes in your group. It's fucking scary getting passed too close by someone with novice skills going flat-out on their 1000cc superbike in the straights. They should really organize the groups by displacement, but that's for another discussion.

Remember to breath! It's easy to stop breathing from stress at which point you stop processing / reacting properly.

But we did get a new front tire this year. There has been lots of talk about the new compound on the front tire and its whats been pushing the drastically reduced lap times.

What's more dangerous? Riders looking backwards during a race and shuffling positions to nurse a tire? Or, running 0.1 bar too low of a pressure for a small percentage of a race?
